Lord is a senior fellow at Harvard Law School Project on Disability, where she writes and researches on international law and policy relating to the human rights of persons with disabilities. She is also a member of the board of directors of Amnesty International USA and the United States International Council on Disability. Lord participated in all negotiations which led to the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. She has worked in more than 40 countries worldwide on advancing the human rights of the most marginalized members of society.    An expert facilitator, Lord has designed and facilitated disability rights and awareness training for the International Labor Organization, non-profits and several large and small companies.
