  • DIP043 Direct Input Podcast with Fuzzywig

    26/07/2017 Duración: 01h46min

Fuzzywig is back to give an update on the nightmarish process that's been holding up the legalization of marijuana in the commonwealth of Massachusetts. It shouldn't come as a surprise that this former traveling hippy turned registered caregiver is anti-President Trump. Then again, we're both from Massachusetts, the state that currently has the 2nd highest disapproval rating towards the current administration. This discussion essentially serves several layers of hypocritical outcry towards our current powers that be, as well as the zombie like cult that is in full devotion to its cause. We make a little time to talk about how he found his cat on tour, along with some minor prose about the Zelda franchise. All in all, this an episode that will trigger the fuck out of your local right wing sjw snowflake who thinks they have a stronger chance of getting raped by immigrant than winning the lottery. We're talking about the Pussification of America folks. That's what we're mainly discussing in this episode.

  • DIP042 Direct Input Podcast Heavy Metal Parking Lot at Iron Maiden

    20/07/2017 Duración: 35min

Welcome to the very first edition of a man on the street series that I've been wanting to do for years. This is my first attempt at a roaming solo mic interview. I'll do my best to not spike out so hard on future episodes but you get the gist and jest of it all right here. Essentially this is my first hand account of walking around a parking lot amongst 20,000 heavy metal manciacs who are about to witness one of the last stops of The Book of Souls Tour presented by the mighty Iron Maiden. Join me as I approach and explore tailgate parties full of BBQ, beer, weed and Heavy Metal Maniacs. Just so you know, there isn't a FAKE News Network or a Shambly Boys Brothers Productions, that shit sounds wicked legit though. That picture is made by Iron Maiden too, I didn't ask their permission to use it either, so they should hit me up if they don't want me using it anymore. Cheers!

Naturally we also discuss his label Old Metal Records, being a KISS fan, along with some hints about future activity with Decased. • DIP036 Direct Input Podcast with Andrew Pequita

    05/06/2017 Duración: 01h53min

“If you're going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don't even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery--isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you'll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.” - Charles Bukowski, Factotum Andrew Pequita has devoted his entire professional life to the ancient craft of tattooing. We sit down with him at his shop located in New Bedford, MA and discuss a variety of topics, many of which are reoccurring during ext

  • DIP034 Direct Input Podcast with James Foster of Red 13 Studios

    15/05/2017 Duración: 02h03min

James "Jimmy" Foster is a jack of all trades media mogul and who I consider to be the face of Red 13 Studios, located in Framingham, MA. Together we indulge in a few cocktails and manage to reach an epic level of shittiness that lasts for 2 hours. We discuss several topics, such as the developmental process of his former band Gangsta Bitch Barbie/Nullset getting signed to Capitol Records. His directing and producing of music videos for Abnormality, Whitechapel, Unearth and Goatwhore. Jim tips us off about a feature length documentary film he's producing on Godsmack and recollects seeing the band rise from obscurity over 20 years ago. There is also plenty shop talk regarding his extensive production for the cult PFG TV program that was hosted by Scorch, which largely came to fame due to relentless smashing and beating from the Opie and Anthony show. There are some douche chills but who cares, Jimmy is diamond status, one of the best in the business and a legend of the New England scene. http://www.red13

  • DIP029 Direct Input Podcast with Muert

    28/02/2017 Duración: 39min

We were so excited to sit down with Muert, that naturally we forgot this was in fact the 2nd foreign band we've featured on DIP (see DIP002 with Tankscapda). Granted this was the first foreign metal band. This episode serves as a great introduction to the mysterious Canary Islands, located a mere 90 miles from the coast of Morocco, yet the people are still subjects to the crown of Spain. Here we learn about the motivations of Muert, a band playing primitive 2nd wave black metal, that is rooted in vengeance towards the Spanish church's Aboriginal genocide of the ancient islands. The band drank around 18 beers before this was finished tracking, yet their wisdom shines through with the help of Metal Mafia Records jefe Eduardo. Several Spanish bands are cited and links below point towards their reference. ***THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN FROM http://www.returntothepit.com/*** Muert http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Muert/3540352235 https://muert.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/muert666 http://www.hammerhe

  • DIP026 Direct Input Podcast with Hillarie Jason

    17/01/2017 Duración: 01h25min

Hillarie Jason is a self employed artist who has quite the knack for shooting live bands. You might have seen her in a photo pit around the New England scene or even at Maryland Death Fest in Baltimore. Ever since her youth living on the Atlantic coast, Hillarie has dedicated her life to the pursuit of free will, creating and living through art; so it's only natural that we discuss what keeps her inspired throughout the years. We also consider what lies ahead for artists throughout the next 4 years as we are on the eve of the Trump administration's inauguration. This episode was tracked at my home studio with a single condenser mic. There is a hint of background noise while my girlfriend prepares dinner. Since this technique is a new approach and totally unmastered, you should give your volume a boost in order to match up with previous DIP episodes featured on here. This is one of the more natural interviews/conversations I've hosted and I hope you enjoy! Keep up with Hillarie online over at http://hi
