The end of all things is at hand. Jesus is coming back very soon. That's what we believe. That's what Christians have always believed. Are you living like it's true? Do you love like it's the last time you'll love? Do you serve like it's the final day? Are you willing to make the name of Jesus Christ known while you love and serve other people?

Are you prepared at all times to give a reason for the hope that is in you? Pastor Aaron encourages us in this sermon to consider our Christian growth like that of those who serve in the military. The military prepares in order that when they face combat they won't panic. What about us, as Christians? Are we prepared with the story of Jesus' resurrection and the living hope that gives us, so that when we face the inevitable suffering in this life, we can still testify to the hope we have?

Have you tasted anything good lately? Many of us have the impression that what tastes good generally isn't good for us. However, once you start eating healthy food and leave the junk behind, you realize that what's good for you can actually taste good too! That's the truth about Jesus as well. When we "taste and see that the Lord is good" we realize that He both tastes good and is good for us.

Pay attention to how many times you say the word "hopefully." What do you mean when you say it? Generally, it seems to be a word of wishful thinking. But, did you know that in Jesus Christ, our hope is full? What would it look like for you to live "hope fully?"

The crowds welcomed Jesus to Jerusalem shouting, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD!" They desired salvation. They desired deliverance. But, did the reality of Jesus match the expectations they had about their coming king?

Jesus speaks clearly in John 14 saying, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This world is offering people many different directions and ways to go in life. But, none of them are clear. They are confusing and misleading. The only sure way to follow is the way of Jesus.

As we all sort through the complexities and rapid changes of the Covid-19 outbreak, this message entitled Jesus is Sight opens our eyes to see Jesus clearly and to serve our neighbors boldly.

In these chapters, we watch Jesus bring water (physical and spiritual) to a physically and spiritually dehydrated woman. Jesus, the living water, provides the water of eternal life. Jesus, also, in John 6, brings living bread to the physically and spiritually hungry. Are you looking somewhere other than Jesus for sustenance to fill you up? Look no further. Jesus is what you need. Now and forever.

In this section of Esther the tables are turned, the scales are tipped, the proud are humbled, and the humbled are exalted. Everything that has seemed to be going poorly for the Jewish people is completely reversed. The villain is killed, and justice is served.

Esther puts her life on the line to step into the presence of the King. She took a "step of faith" you could say. And, so far, it's working out in her favor. How do you know when it's time for you to take a step forward and when it's time to wait on the Lord? Watch, listen, or read.

In these two chapters of Esther, the plot starts to thicken and the drama unfolds. A newly promoted, high-ranking official to the Persian King, is supposed to have everyone bow down to him. Mordecai won't do it. This sets off a feud that dates back centuries between God's people and an ancient enemy. Now is Esther's chance to stand up to the King, reveal her Jewish identity, and beg for the deliverance of her people. She famously says, "If I perish, I perish." What are you willing to put on the line for the sake of the Gospel?

In the first half of chapter 2, we are introduced to Esther. She is wrapped up in the process of the Persian King searching for a new queen. And, at the end, she is chosen by the King to be the new queen. But, there are many decisions that Esther makes along the way. Many of them compromise her Jewish faith. Is this good? Did God direct this?
