Inside The Pallet House

We are gearing up for the annual Scandals Boat Trip, but there are a lot of factors making things difficult.  Kind of like trying to figure out what sports team you root for, it can be tough to make the right choice.  Your decision can define you well beyond the glory and defeat, but always remember this is supposed to be fun.

Travel helps us to grow, and can change your perspective on the world.  It can also remind you that no matter where you are, you still have the same deficiencies. At least it is more fun to be stupid somewhere beautiful. 

We are joined by one of the newest TikTok stars, and all without resorting to any Hawk Tuah.  We can't say no animals were hurt in her rise to prominence though.  We also learn about a whirlwind tour of Europe for one of our own. 

Chipotle has been under attack as of late, but we keep learning new ways to make sure we walk away bloated. There a lot of love languages, but well fed has to be one that doesn't get enough press.  Speaking of too much press, the Chicago Bears are about to get too much come pre-season.

It was a rough week for some of us, and rough weeks can make for angry attitudes.  Wrecking an electric skateboard can help to humble you a bit, but a couple of cervezas can bring the fight back out. Now if we could just get some cicadas to eat and drink that would help.  

Father's Day is here, and the Father of all eating contests is in jeopardy.  The good news is that this is America so we will find a way to make money on this travesty.   Some of us will make more money than others, and it will be the end of the Summer before we find out who. 

This week Dave tells a pleasant story about a kid getting a new car, and how a seemingly good experience can turn into a nightmare for the salesman. We also learn about a new option for those of us who like to have a drink every so often.  

Life has a way of coming at us all fast, and even when we know it is coming we are still shocked.  Like taking a Zoom court appearance for a suspended license from your car, when you figure out what is happening it is often too late. 

Showing up to gun fight with a knife is known to be a bad idea. Showing up in the same Costco pants as everyone else can be just as awkward though.  I guess they are both better than showing up to a Porsche meet in a Miata. 

Art is subjective that is for sure, but some art is universally accepted as pretty cool.  It should also be known that human nature means we will always play to the lowest common denominator.  When the two meet we should not be surprised at the results.  As primal as a snake chasing a mouse, we will do something stupid if you keep giving us the chance. 

First world problems involve bad games of golf, and busted up cars.  We spend a lot of time focused on the small things.  We can also be reminded that there are much bigger issues for us to be concerned about.  This week that comes into focus. 

Nancy Reagan taught us that the patriotic thing was to just say No. This week we saw some unlikely heroes do something patriotic, and we sent all of our money in the name of them saying Yes.

The day is finally here.  We are putting Guinness and Murphy's Irish Stout head to head in a blind taste test.  There has been a lot of talk about whether or not Guinness is merely a marketing engine that has pushed the other stouts out of the way, or if it really is the best beer in the world. Today we will find out.

This week many of us learned basic economics by way of basketball.  Others of us learned about cloud seeding by way of a disaster. Of course as you can imagine we don't learn enough to come out of this episode that much smarter.

We revisit our memories of OJ, some good, some bad, but there is no denying that dude could run.  We also are reminded that being homeless isn't always a bad thing.

It's Spring Break, but that doesn't mean we aren't putting out a new episode.  Yep, we are committed to the cause...for now. It is this kind of dedication that can get you an Uber across state lines.  

Chick-Fil-A we have got a marketing campaign for you, and it is on brand.  In the end you will sell more spicy chicken then you ever thought possible. Give us a call.  We may have come across a few gems for the Taco Bell's and Chipotle's of the world as well.

This we week we unintentionally dive into some alternative lifestyles, and do our best to make sense of it all.  It also begs to question how we decide which half of a mythical creature we designate the human portion.

This weeks episode is an ITPH first. In 8 years, 11 months, and 5 days of doing this show we finally recorded an episode without Brendan. Who will run the show?  Who will even be there? Will the boys sink or swim? I guess there is only one way to find out.  Hold...Hold...Hold.

We are going to do our best to bring you up to speed on all you need to know for Saint Patrick's Day. Even if you don't like Guinness we have some solutions for you as we dive into the different options for the Half and Half. We also get a history lesson about Notre Dame.
