Fear is the face of our first Thursday episode, and Vinnie, The OG, The Professor, and the Sicko discuss their deepest, darkest fears, and you might be surprised by some of the paths they travel. Mental trauma, primordial fear, childhood phobias, C.H.U.D.s, “Small Wonder,” and tests of faith are all fodder for this episode’s discussion. Later, you know the deal: Biz all day, and Paz and the OG go into the Seth Rollins vs. Finn deal and examine the price of working stiff and snug, as well as discussing a common favorite: Heath Slater. Then, a recap of This Is Hardcore weekend and everything that went down with Philly’s favorite hardcore fest. An attempt at discussing the importance of skate culture gets derailed when the OG calls an audible and the crew instead goes off the rails and talks about the Rolling Stone top 40 “punk rock” bands list. Meanwhile, in Biz talk, with a lull in the summer program, Paz and the OG dive into their top tag-team tandems of all time. Chris gives us a look at the behind-the-scenes action, as well as the huge effort that goes into putting the yearly four day gathering together, while giving everyone a preview of what they can expect from this year’s edition. Conversations with Chris spark the BSB crew into talking about their own memories of hardcore shows from back in the day, and several “who’s better” challenges go down. As usual, the OG Gavin and Vinnie get into some seriously in-depth conversations about the biz, and Chris X is right there in the mix to add his perspective on the recent draft, as well as everything else going down biz-wise. Ep. 19 – “South Philly, Macaroni, and a Gimmick”

This week’s episode, brought to you by Chopper and executive producer Lydon “Big L” Gavin, straight from the dining room of OG Gavin’s house. Engineer extraordinaire Supe Stallone was unavailable this week, due to being entrenched in mixing Vinnie’s new record, so the crew did what they do best: they went back to their DIY/ punk rock roots to bring you a new episode live from the crib, with Gavin making macaroni and all of Jackie Brown’s voodoo gimmicks giving everyone the heebie jeebies. This episode finds the OG, Paz, the Sicko and the Professor delving into some pretty heavy stuff; a discussion of America’s culture of violence goes down some interesting paths, with Paz shutting down Stevie Puerto Rico, and Vinnie and the Sicko breakdown the documentary “O.J.: Made in America.” Meanwhile, the Professor gives us a full account of his trip to Jamaica. Gavin and The Sicko recap last episode’s Harry Nilsson/Glen Campbell debate with a decisive conclusion. Each member of the cast has a role, and each person learns of which actor will play him, and the results are pretty goddamn funny.
