Vinnie Paz Presents The Broad Street Breakdown

As the crew draws closer to 90 episodes, they continue the discussion on the current protests.  Like everyone (except bald people), the biggest non-serious question on everyone's head is "When can I get a cut?".  Vin tells his barbershop story; The OG a story about getting smokes while under curfew, which leads to the birth of Nice Guy Geoff.  Who is he?  What does he stand for?  Will he represent the weak, and if so, why not Pablo?  Is that his Kryptonite?  The usual gimmicks return.  Yes, "Pablo Says" and the Facebook driven "Who’s/What’s Better".  "In my day, a barber was more than just somebody who sit around in a FUBU shirt with his drawers hanging all out."

PODCASTING, the unbeatable high!  The boys address the unavoidable social unrest that’s going on in the country but take a b-line to discuss “juggalos” and when Vin played “The Gathering”.  Then the boys talk about the podcast, their mission statement, and where they think they want it to go.  Geoff’s snacking habits are brought in for questioning.  Of course he defends himself in true OG fashion.  The new segments are back in full force with “Pablo Says” and a Facebook Gimmick Gang driven “Who’s/What’s Better”.  Then on to the Mailbag, Cheapo Tip, maybe a quick Dear Vin, Word Assoc, and Recommendations.   “Tomorrow your homeless, tonight it’s a blast!”

The crew discuss Crazy Joe Biden and his “you ain’t Black” comment, Trump's possible dementia, and Lana Del Rey being “cancelled”. The new hit segment “Correct Presents…Pablo Says” returns. The usual deals are dealt with: Who’s/What’s Better, a Canada-inspired Word Association, Vinnie no-sells Dear Vin, the Mailbag is read, and Recommendations are recommended. They drew first blood, not us.

The crew discuss the “selective forgiveness” phenomena in Hollywood and the music industry. The Professor (mis) pronounces a bunch of shit, and another round of “Who’s Better?” goes down. Cody Mac does a run-in on Word Association, Dear Vin is read (kinda), Professor digs into the mailbag, and recommendations are given. Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!

After the Professor cuts a promo on a friend of the show, said friend joins the show to defend himself. The Professor won’t budge. The OG invents a new game, “Who’s Better?”, and the Gimmick Gang contribute. The requisite gimmicks are revisited: Word Association is in play, Paz can’t cope with “Dear Vin”, The Professor reads the Mailbag, and the crew wraps it all up with Recommendations. What we've got here is a failure to communicate.

The OG takes us down a dark corridor into an even darker place…imagine Eyes Wide Shut…but in Philly. costumes? passwords? sexual rituals? coo be! The subject of Cody Mac being a “fan favorite” is also discussed (he’s not). The usual gimmicks are presented: Word Association, the hallucinosis that is Dear Vin, the mailbag, and recommendations are all dealt with. What the hell are you bitchin' about? I gotta sleep under some Chinaman named after a duck's dork.

Gimme that beat, fool, it's a full time jack move!  BSB Crew is on a roll with another fine episode.  Vinnie Paz tells his proverbial COVID story as well as hip yous to some common grammar errors.  A decision is had on how different people interact with the homeless and why.  A little bit of Biz Talk, little dash of The LIST.  A special Philly Edition of Word Association and the usual mind-scrambler that we refer to as Dear Vin.  Vin figures out a Pablo Cheapo Tip that he didn't even know he was doing.  Some Mailbag, always some OG words of wisdom.  We'll have you marks a 100 Miles and Runnin!

While recapping last week’s John Hughes debacle, the crew uncover a devious ruse being perpetrated by Cody Mac. Cody joins the show in an attempt to defend his sinister behavior and awful taste in film. OG has issues at CVS, and he’s not happy about it. Paz and the OG go talk Superfly Snuka, a Cody Mac-themed Word Association is dealt with, another dose of Dear Vin is read, Professor no-sells the Cheapo Tip, listener emails are answered, and recommendations are given. we’ll drink your milkshake!

Still trapped inside, the quarantine crew discuss the greatest hardcore/punk frontmen of all-time, and the Professor makes an outlandish claim regarding Ferris Bueller and John Hughes. As usual, the squad brings you your favorite gimmicks: Pablo has a fairly sane Cheapo Tip, another round of Word Association goes down, Vinnie travels down the dark path that is “Dear Vin,” Pablo reads some Gimmick Gang emails, and the boys wrap it up with some elegant recommendations. The boys are back in town.  Yes, we've missed you too!  A hardy recap starts off the night. Dietary choices are discussed as well as not 1, but 2, Man of the People stories. Annoying social media political figures come up including the triumphant return of (dun dun dunnnn) THE LIST. Before we get into the usual segments, Pablo's sexual prowess comes into question. Yep, it's like we never left and where do we have to go anyway?

After their longest (6 months) hiatus ever, the boys make their triumphant return. Cha Cha’s vacation and Vinnie’s tour are briefly discussed, Mean Gene is eulogized, and the Louis CK/Parkland High School shooting is debated. The regular gimmicks make their return: Word Association, the resurrection of Dear Vin, the Mailbag, and Recommendations. Carpe Diem. Seize the day, boys. make your lives extraordinary.

The crew discuss the most annoying of all living creatures: the “fanager”.  Why do fans feel the need to give artists their unsolicited opinion?  That convo takes a turn, and the fellas discuss whether asking an artist for a photo makes you a mark.  OG and Paz teach Cha Cha how Twitter works, and the usual gimmicks are in play:  Word Association, Dear Vin makes it triumphant return, the BSB mailbag, and Recommendations are all met head on. OG doesn’t like hockey, but he loves hockey fights, Cha Cha pops himself in the intro, Cousin Friz has too many guns, and the crew discuss getting hit by the first blizzard of 2018.  Things take an ominous turn when Pazzy accuses Cha Cha of being a dirty rotten scoundrel, and takes him to BSB Court.  Does Cha Cha have a defense for his deplorable behavior?  How will this case be handled, and is OG the judge, jury, and executioner?  Coo be.  The usual gimmicks are presented: Word Association, the monstrosity that is Dear Vin, the BSB mailbag, and Recommendations are all dealt with.  You can't really dust for vomit.

Does Professor Cha Cha now have superpowers after an operation (potentially) gone wrong? Coo be.  A friend of the show contends that their 2 year old child was given a toy made for a dog for his birthday. This can’t be possible, can it? “The List” has returned, and if you know what’s good for you, you’ll act accordingly, or you will be…ON THE LIST. Things take a more serious turn when the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting is discussed. Who is to blame? The crew dig in and explore everything from gun control to mental illness. ‘Tis the season of giving, and the BSB is a gift that outlasts the holiday. We keep giving. After a classic Professor fuck up, jubilation is the order of the day, as we learn about Pablo’s holiday extravaganza. There’s a story about Pazzy and a bear, military pops, Yakov Smirnoff, and film stock. After that, it’s gift-getting time. Two very generous Gimmick Gangers sent some amazing presents to the show and everybody is blown away by the thoughtfulness of the gifts. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Meanwhile, the “no pretzel” gimmick is still vexing the crew and even threatening to break up the band.  The Word Association gimmick gets a new twist as a longtime friend tries his hoof at submitting a word list. A special guest appearance pops everyone, “Dear Vin” is the same bizarre gagortion it always is, The Professor has a “collage” of wedding-inspired casino tips for youse, Gimmick Gang mail is read and answered, and, as always, the squad sets youse up with some real nice recommendations. While marveling over the Blo’s prodigious and voluminous bouffant, a challenge is extended to the listening audience: a better bouffant? We dare you to find one that outshines the glorious tresses of The Professor. Afterwards, on the eve of Manson’s death, the crew discusses Charlie’s impact on history, society, and American culture at large. If Charlie is the hate that hate made, how much responsibility rests on the shoulders of the society that created him?
