Luke kicks-off his new tourism series after his recent trip to Europe. Today’s installment: The TBTL Travel Guide: Curing Lonely Planetness Part One: Rome.

Luke is back from his European vacation, which means he and Andrew can finally talk about grocery stores, comfortable walking shoes, and staplers. 

TBTL Friendo Cassie joins the show from Oakland to talk about the new Cabbage Patch Kid in her life and to share listener stories about Cabbage Patch Kids of yesteryear. 

The TBTL answering machine continues to fill-up with listeners sharing the silly songs they sing to their pets. We listen to a new batch of pet sounds with special guest Navya, a longtime TBTL Ten who also has some bad news to share with Andrew about his role on TBTL. 

Phyllis “P-Fletch” Fletcher joins the show to get an update on the TBTL friendship bracelets and to hear some listener voicemails involving hookworms, dirty-minded grandmas, and a mortifying bathroom experience that will haunt us all forever. 

TBTL Friendo and film buff Nick Jarin swings by to talk about movies -- but not just any movies! He and Andrew compare their top 10 lists of Movies To Watch On Mute At A Bar.

Genevieve stops by the studio to challenge us with a recent New York Times quiz about dreams and dreaming!  

After a fun-filled week hearing listeners sing their pet-related songs on the TBTL listener line, Luke and Andrew are ready to crown a winner or two, after listening to a few more fabulous entries. 

Andrew realizes he made a mistake regarding the TBTL Pet Sounds contest that only Steve Harvey could relate to. But mistakes aside, the latest batch of listener-submitted animal songs are SO GOOD.

Luke and Andrew discuss the American south, cummerbunds, and why Luke realizes he’s a “West Coast guy.” But most importantly, they listen to more of your amazing pet songs as the best competition of 2024 continues! (Sorry, Olympics. You get the silver.) 

Luke and Andrew look back at their calendars and  trade notes about what they were doing right before the pandemic shut the world down. (They don’t know why they’re talking about this, but they are.) More importantly, they also hear pet songs from TBTL listeners! 

Luke and Andrew share some of the many pet songs that listeners sang into the TBTL voicemail line recently, and -- in true TBTL fashion -- they spend most of the time debating what to call this new segment.  

Luke went into a part of Nashville last night that he really shouldn’t have. He and Andrew also discuss an astounding claim by Disney in a new lawsuit. And Middleshelf Maggie helps Luke find the long-lost ringtone he’s been searching for. 

Luke is excited about a new Australian word he learned today, and Andrew is excited about some tavern-related developments in his neighborhood.

Luke is impressed with the kindness of Ryan Seacrest. Andrew is impressed with the wonders of the University of Washington Surplus Store. And they’re both tickled by the audio of a Mariners outfielder talking about his monkeys.

Luke learned a very valuable lesson about telling the truth this morning, and it may change him forever. Or not. He and Andrew also offer an appreciation of LA billboards. 

Luke is staying in a hotel  in L.A.that might be too L.A. And Andrew offers “the Papa Murphy's of hot takes” regarding the Australian breakdancer who is getting roasted after her Olympic performance.

Andrew has a song stuck in his head, and Luke is here to figure out what the heck it is. Plus, festival goers in San Francisco are burying hidden, boozy treasure to avoid overpaying for concert drinks.
