Forever Midnight

The boys sit down for the first time since our town was devastated by a nasty fire to discuss all the things that have been going on, and give thanks that we all are okay and our studio still stands. A huge thank you to everyone who reached out with kind words and support. We will return with a regular episode very soon, as we are all anxious to get back to the good stuff in life... SCARY MOVIES! 

It seems that everyone and their Grandma has seen the new adaptation of Stephen King's IT by now. It's breaking box-office records. So is it too late for the FM3 to weigh in on the film? Oh who cares, we are going to do it anyways. Here is our conversation about 2017's IT.

In this episode the boys strap on their hard rock hair pieces and flying V's  to discuss the recent Film "The Devils Candy"! Tim Kasher is probably best known as the singer of indie-punk mainstays, Cursive & The Good Life - things that the FM3 hardly talk about in our lengthy conversation with this modern rock legend! Also barely mentioned: Tim’s directorial film debut, ‘No Resolution’, screening in most major US cities this September with a Q&A and musical performance by TK (09/11th at the Alamo Drafthouse in San Francisco, for local listeners). What we DO talk about is Tim Kasher’s love of horror films old & new, being a movie lover living in Hollywood, being a fan-fiction screenwriter, and of course, a little food talk.

The FM3 sit down in sunny Los Angeles for a long talk with Jennifer Rubin, AKA Taryn White from "A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors”. Although, the real nightmare is when Josh confesses to the coolest, most beautiful Dream Warrior that he once pooped his pants in jail! Jennifer is awesome, and speaks freely about jumping from teenage modeling to acting, where she worked through the eighties with the likes of David Lynch & Oliver Stone, as well her current writing process and weirdnesses. This episode gets a little (a lot) esoteric and kookie, so hang on!

The dudes sit down in the old Baphomet Bungalow to talk with Mitchell Altieri, director of the new horror comedy, “The Night Watchmen” and half of the mysterious Butcher Brothers (“The Hamiltons”, “The Violent Kind”). Also discussed: the psychology behind remaking a horror classic, and the genius of Neill Blomkamp.

The episode you all have been waiting for... The concluding chapter to Brian Henderson's "no nuts, no glory saga". And if talking about real life horror stories aren't enough, we do eventually find the strength to give you a review of The Stomach (short film from 2013) and 2017's 'It Comes At Night'.  

In this episode (as in most every episode), Jef and Brian are dragged through the hallways of Josh’s childhood memories, all the way back to Halloween of 1981 when Josh donned the costume of ‘Canadian Hillbilly Monster’. Little did he (or anyone around him) know, the head on this costume was an original Distortions Unlimited SYNGENOR mask designed by Bill Malone, from his low-budget 1980 film, ‘Scared To Death’. M. Night Shyamalan has just released his latest horror/thriller film 'SPLIT'. And like any good scary movie podcast we dutifully hit the theaters to check it out. Is he back? Is it good? Is it bad? We will give you all the details, but be forewarned... SPOILERS AHEAD!! But you've already seen it, you say? We won't "ruin" anything, you say? Then good! Lets get grab this throbbing hard beast of a movie by it's veiny neck. Here is our review of 'SPLIT'.

The FM3 decide to reach deep into the depths of the VHS Library at our Scary Movie Research Center and do our first ever “Off the Shelf Video Review”!  The tape we chose is the 1983 film “Spasms”.  So ready yourself and grab your closest pocket knife. You're gonna need it to help us battle the slippery beast that is “Spasms”.
