One Hand Speaks

2021... What a year it has been. Certainly some of the most crazy times in the past 100 years some would say.

Here is a "slice of life" podcast about how I am feeling right now in these current crazy times.

This a a feel-good short story about the time at my 3 Shapes Aikido dojo made the UPS Guy feel like a million bucks.

The olives are all pressed and jarred. We have 82 jars total split in 16, 8, and 4 ounce jars of three different flavors.

To experience large amounts of pain on a consistent and long term basis has been quite the life experience and lesson. 

In my home growing up we watched a lot of Television and we cooked a lot of food as Family Traditions.

One night I went out to a casino to shoot a bit of dice. What happened on that dice table can be considered a miracle!! 

After a 5-day 1600 miles round trip rode trip to get raw olives, all I have done in my spare time is crack and pit olives, look for the supplies we need to process this amount, and try to live in an apartment that now looks like an olive factory.

A simple interview with my mother about why we drove 1600 miles roundtrip to pick up 100 pounds of raw olives.

Right now it is Tuesday night, October 12th. As I get ready to upload this podcast I am also preparing to go on "An Olive Road Trip" with my mother.

Since I do not have a two handed way of thinking in a two handed world, I can think more freely and creatively about solutions.

This is a story about the true joy of laughter with good friend and its healing qualities.

This podcast is about a night I spent in Cesky Krumlov. This is a small tourist city of about 30,000 people. It is famous for its 13th century castle and 17th century Baroque theater.

It is amazing what can happen at the moment of birth. For me there was something there that had an impact on me.

I was thinking about the Dalai Lama. Then my thoughts jumped to this young girl in my old martial art school. Then I thought of Aikido and my old dojo. Then I thought of the history of how she came to the dojo.

When there is a "free day," my thinking opens and expands in areas I normally cannot engage. The more creative part of my mind has some breathing room. I think thoughts supported by thinking not pressured by the weight of daily life. It is in these timeframes when I have a lot of random one handed thoughts.
