We don’t cover every pick but do contrast some interest players drafted in stretches. We cover the mid to late lottery guards (Collin Sexton, Kevin Knox, Shai Gilgus-Alexander and Jerome Robinson). We know we cheated a bit by including Know in there but it seemed appropriate to contrast those players. We cover post lottery wings (Troy Brown, Zaire Smith, Donte DiVicenzo, Lonnie Walker, Kevin Huerter and Josh Okogie). We briefly discuss how weirdly different the three bigs taken late in the first round are (Moritz Wagner, Robert Williams and Omari Spellman). The Cavs lost a precious opportunity to make this series from the beginning when game one slipped away. Both conference finals seem to be at a competitive place. But watching the coaching adjustments in each series has been nothing short of fascinating. The Cavaliers are the only team of the four that is not relying on switching on defense and that really worked well for them in game 3. The Raptors held true to the identity of their 2017-18 regular season, even without Fred Van Vleet. They were not strictly dependent upon the shooting of Lowry and DeRozan. The Wizards will need to try to defend in game 2 with suboptimal rim protection. The Sixers shortened their rotation in the second half versus the Heat and it made all the difference in the game. What will Spo do going into game 2? The Spurs were not very inspiring in their game 1 loss to the Warriors. Are their any adjustments they can make with Curry sitting out all of the first round?
