Israel is on the edge of the Promised Land and Moses, their leader, has died. So God calls another man to courageous lead His people into the land.

To be thankful, you have to take account of what has been given.  In the case of God, He has given much.  Much more than we deserve and more than we could fathom.  His love is a gift for each of us to be received every day and that should lead our hearts to a place of incredible gratitude.

After being called out by God, Moses returns to Egypt and is not met with a great reception.  Discouragement is pretty common in life.  Especially with doing the right thing doesn't go like you planned.  How can we follow Jesus in spite of the response we get from others?

God calls to Moses from a burning bush to tell him he will be the one to free Israel from slavery and lead them to freedom.  God called Moses out to follow HIm.  He's calling us out too.

This week we answered a few questions that our Middle School students turned in to us.  We didn't have time to cover them all or to go as in depth as we would have liked for the ones we did answer.  But it does point students toward what God says about these topics in the scriptures so they can continue to find more answers.  Hopefully it does the same for you.

The Old Testament is full of men and women whose stories were part of God's bigger story. Abraham is the first of those people we are looking at.

One huge way we look different when we follow Jesus in our life is how we serve others, which opens up opportunities to share the gospel of Jesus.

After Adam and Eve leave the Garden, sin causes havoc and chaos. It leads to God using a man named Noah to start over.

We look different as we follow Jesus because we never stop growing in our relationship with Him.  The closer we get to Him, the more He reveals about who He is and who He made us to be.  So why not start growing in middle school?
