Born and raised in Guelph, Ontario, Matthew McLaughlin learned early on that his strengths lied in the arts and the creation process. After attending the University of Guelph where he majored in theatre studies, and minored in studio arts, Matthew ventured to Toronto and landed his first job with a television production company. It was there that he learned the inner workings of the television industry. After being encouraged to attend development meetings and being coached on the pitching process, Matthew began writing concepts of his own. With great guidance and encouragement from others, Matthew stepped into the director’s chair, making his ideas come to life in a moving frame. In 2010 Matthew started Bulldog Productions, a full service production company specializing in commercial campaigns, documentaries, and short films.
