There is a real, spiritual battle that we face every single day as followers of Jesus. Yet God has already won the war and has provided us the armor to withstand Satan's last attempts to grasp power. Finishing our series on Habakkuk, Brennen reveals how the prayer of chapter 3 is one of remembrance. As Habakkuk waits, he recalls the ways in which God has been faithful in the past. Brennen kicks off our new series going through the book of Habakkuk. This book is just a small 3 chapters in the OT, but invites us to wrestle with some big questions. Habakkuk is a prophet who sees injustices all around him and speaks to God to ask why God is allowing these to happen. How does God use the Babylonians to bring about something good? Lent is a season the church practices to prepare for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Yet, a lot of us have a range of experiences when it comes to Lent. Our culture has given us a skewed image of who Satan is. Brennen invites us to understand the reality of who Satan is and the power he still has, while recognizing that his power and authority will never, and has never been greater than the power of our God. In Luke 2, the angels are worshipping God because he is entering the middle of the story, he is entering the mess of humanity.
