Entering into the liturgy of the Sacred Triduum, we come to the Mass of the Lord's Supper with Jesus, the Divine Bridegroom.  In the midst of the Passover Seder, Jesus declares His vows, the oath instituting the New and Eternal Covenant and declaring His intention to give up His body and pour out His blood to overwhelm the powers of sin and death and open up the life of heaven's love for all who respond to His covenantal invitation...

In Matthew's account of The Passion, we study closely how, with everything on the line, Jesus poured out His last breath in saving love for us...
