A brief reflection from the 8:30am mass at Old St. Mary's in Greektown on the gift of the Eucharist and the power of Eucharistic devotion...

On Trinity Sunday, we reflect on God:  Father, Son & Holy Spirit, and our lives as Christians in relationship with the three persons of the Trinity.

On Pentecost Sunday we embrace the aspects of divine life, guidance and overflow that permeated the first discples, and every disciple pursuing life in the Holy Spirit ever since...

We dig into the words of Jesus: "whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him." (John 14:23)

In Revelation 21:5, we read:  The one who sat on the throne said, "behold, I make all things new."  In this reflection, we consider the transformative power of God's grace that is bringing this newness into being as we live life in the Spirit.

We look at the incredible gift of hearing the voice of Jesus, who promised us..."My sheep hear my voice" (Jn 10:27) 

On the feast of Divine Mercy, the devotion to Divine Mercy is considered, along with a powerful testimonial and practical tips for growing in mercy.

As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, we consider the essence of our lives as disciples who share in the very divine life of the resurrected Jesus.

At a healing service hosted by Our Lady of Hope Parsh, the power of Jesus to heal and the amazing outpouring of the Holy Spirit in these days of The New Evangelization is recounted, celebrated and INVITED!

At a Laetare ("Rejoice!") Lenten praise fest at St. Alfred's in Taylor, we consider living the reality Jesus points us to in John 15:11, "I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete."

In the Transfiguration, the divinity of Jesus shown forth brightly!  By God's grace, our living participatino in the life of God's love is meant to shine His light brightly in this world...

In the temptation in the desert (Luke 4), Jesus gives us a blueprint to follow for victory over temptations...

As the season of Lent begins, Jesus invites us into a reconciliation of accounts and a renewal in identity...

"Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose hope is in the Lord.  He is like a tree planted beside the waters that stretches out its roots to the stream..."(Jeremiah 17:7-8) 

In His hometown synagogue Jesus declared "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me." The Holy Spirit has been poured into us (Romans 5:5), making us the mystical body of Christ on earth.  The Lord is inviting us in these days of the New Evangelization to consider what we carry and what is truly possible as anointed sons and daughters of God...

The wedding feast at Cana points us to the eternal wedding feast that we are blessed to enjoy even now...

Your place in the Holy Family is your sweet spot...your identity confirmed in communion with God, forth from which flows "the good life" of your life in Christ.

In the prophet Micah's prophecy about the coming messiah Jesus, he declares "He shall be peace."  After His resurrection, Jesus declared to his disciples "peace I leave you, my peace I give you."  The gift of Christmas is Jesus...and living in His peace.

The infectious, healing, delightful joy of the Lord flows from our awareness of God's presence and shines the light of God's love to this world.  Lord...teach us & equip us with the grace to rejoice always in your presence! (Phil 4:4)

As we enter into the season of advent, the Lord is stirring us with a fresh desire for more of Him in our lives...
