As followers of Jesus, we know this world is not our true home. But the reality is, we don’t always lead lives that reflect the fact that we were made for more. God has called each of us to holiness. Our good friend John Bevere was with us as we celebrated 35 years of Victory! He brought a timely word to carry with us throughout each day as we interact with others on our journey with Jesus. The bait of Satan is the trap of offense, a breeding ground for deception that leads us out of God’s will.

John was given a beautiful vision of the new heaven and earth. One day, Jesus will return as King, and He will vindicate His people who are found faithful. 

When sin entered the Garden of Eden, we lost the perfect peace and security that we can find only in God’s presence. Unholiness cannot dwell with holiness. So, because of the curse, we lost unity with God. Our connection was severed, and we could no longer see Him face-to-face. 

For every one of us, a time will come when we breathe our last breath. And if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you know what is to come: Heaven. But what about our present moments? How do we live today in light of the gift and hope of eternity with God?
