Edward Joseph McGuire was born on the 29th of October, 1964. Eddie is an Australian radio and television presenter, commentator, journalist, media businessman and sporting president known for his long association with the AFL and Channel Nine. He runs his own company, McGuire Media, and works within the Triple M Network as host of The Hot Breakfast alongside Mick Molloy and Luke Darcy at 105.1 Triple M in Melbourne. Sarah and Paddy invited Eddie to come on, and we looked at his Extraordinary Life.

In news recently, Ironman legend Dean Mercer passed away after a car crash at Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast. The former national champion suffered a medical episode in the smash on Monday, when his vehicle ploughed through a fence. He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital but couldn't be saved. Sarah & Paddy spoke with Chris Parker, of Central Coast Lifesaving New South and reflected on the amazing life of Dean Mercer.

Tropical Storm Harvey has unleashed on Houston, and it'll most likely worsen as Federal Engineers release water from overflowing reservoirs to keep it from jumping dam walls and surging uncontrollably into the homes they protect.
