  • WWF In Your House 1

    15/05/2019 Duración: 01h56min

Happy Mother's Day! Yes, we know it was Sunday but that's when we recorded. In this week's episode we discuss the passing of Silver King, Dean Ambrose going to Hollywood, Jake Hager's bizarre MMA promo, and our thoughts on the brand new WWE Wildcard rule. Then, it's time to dive into a terrible pay-per-view from 1995 headlined by Sid and Diesel. Enjoy!

  • WCW Great American Bash 1997

    09/05/2019 Duración: 01h51min

This week we talk about Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, and Chris Jericho invading a Canton, GA house show. We talk about Rhyno's future in the WWE. We discuss the signing of Willie Mack by iMPACT. We also talk about Double or Nothing and the price point that we think should be offered for PPV buys in the United States. Then, it's time to go back to 1997 for round 2 between Macho Man Randy Savage and DDP. Plus, a show stealing match between Akira Hokuto and Madusa. The review begins at 58:40.

Then, it's time to saddle up and enjoy WCW Spring Stampede featuring an epic showdown between Macho Man Randy Savage and Diamond Dallas Page....plus Booker T's most legendary promo ever. Enjoy!

  • WWF Fully Loaded: In Your House 1998

    25/04/2019 Duración: 02h13min

We're back after the 2019 Superstar Shakeup. We discuss the moves and our predictions for the talents on their new brands. Unfortunately, we recorded before RAW and Smackdown Live so we had no idea some wrestlers would still be moving or moving back to their old brands. So, you can have some fun listening to that. We also didn't know that Bray Wyatt's Funhouse was set to debut so you can listen to our dated predictions about that. We also discuss Ronda Rousey's future with the company as well as OVW becoming an accredited trade school in Kentucky. Then, it's time to dive into the show that had the task of following King of The Ring 1998...Fully Loaded In Your House. Featuring dungeons, bikinis, and distrust...it's almost like an episode of Game of Thrones (except not at all really). Enjoy!

  • WWF Backlash 2001

    19/04/2019 Duración: 02h03min

We're finally out of Wrestlemania season and a lot is happening on the news front: Vampiro makes a major health announcement, AEW is on the verge of a tv deal(?) Sasha Banks is not happy with the WWE, and Joey Ryan still irritates Patrick. Plus we recap our favorite moments from Wrestlemania 35. Then, it's time to head back to 2001 and the show that had the unfortunate act of following Wrestlemania X-Seven...it's WWF Backlash featuring the 30 minute ultimate submission match between Kurt Angle and (name redacted)...plus Shane falls off of something really high...and BOD faces the 2 Man Power Trip...and Steve Blackman gets promo time! Enjoy!

    04/04/2019 Duración: 01h33min

In this week's episode we chat about a few news items heading into the biggest week in professional wrestling as Wrestlemania 35 is happening on Sunday. We discuss Ed Leslie going into the WWE Hall of Fame as well as iMPACT "killing off" one of their performers. We also make our picks for the NXT Takeover show as well as Wrestlemania 35. Then we dive into one of the worst Wrestlemanias of all time...it's time to go to Vegas to witness Hogan's Heist at Wrestlemania 9. The review starts at 25:11. Enjoy the review and enjoy Wrestlemania weekend!

We're nearing Wrestlemania 35 and we discuss a few last minute modifications to the card. We also chat about the latest WWE hall of fame announcements. The review starts at 13:00. Enjoy!

  • WCW Uncensored 1995

    16/03/2019 Duración: 01h59min

It's time to drive a Mack truck into one of the worst pay-per-views to ever exist...it's WCW Uncensored 1995 where there are no rule (unless there are) no mercy (unless there is) and no logic! This classic features the king of the road match between Blacktop Bully and Dustin Rhodes...need we say more? We also spend some time paying tribute to the late King Kong Bundy and Dick "The Destroyer" Beyer....but there's no avoiding the review of one of WCW's most idiotic ideas for an annual pay-per-view. Enjoy! The review of Uncensored begins at 52:36

  • WWF Degeneration X: In Your House

    06/03/2019 Duración: 02h14min

In this episode of Retro Wrestling Podcast we discuss Jimmy Uso's arrest, the passing of Pedro Morales, and the Double or Nothing sellout. Then, it's time to get extreme with Bill Alfonso as we check out two episodes of Hardcore TV featuring the Fonz. The 1995 episode features a Fonzie promo and a singles match for the tag team titles between Rocco Rock and 2 Cold Scorpio. The 1997 is basically a shortened version of ECW's "As Good As It Gets" featuring three excellent matches....with Fonzie in the main event (of Hardcore TV) taking on Beulah McGillicutty in a very bloody mixed tag match. Enjoy!

  • Retro Wrestling Podcast Episode 108: ECW November to Remember 1997

    15/02/2019 Duración: 01h45min

  • Retro Wrestling Podcast Episode 105: WWF SNME 11-14-92

    25/01/2019 Duración: 01h52min

This week it's a special double dose of Retro Wrestling Podcast. Up first we discuss news items from the second week of January 2019 including rumored WWE release requests, the birthday of the late Andy Kaufman, and the odd segments involving female talent on Raw and Smackdown. Then, it's time to go back to November of 1992 for the final episode of Saturday Night's Main Event (before the 2000's reboot) as we see the one and only televised match featuring the Ultimate Maniacs as they take on Money Inc. • Retro Wrestling Podcast Episode 104: 1995 WWF Royal Rumble

    16/01/2019 Duración: 02h20min

This week in the world of wrestling we talk AEW and make some (way too early) predictions about its future. Sabu has a new book coming out and Patrick has a new wrestling video game. Then, it's time to go back to 1995 when the booker apparently didn't see the match structure of the IC and WWF world title matches and did the same match twice (basically). Then, HBK tries to be the iron man and win the Royal Rumble from number 1. Bam Bam Bigelow shoves LT and all hell breaks loose. A lot is on the line as it's not only the main event spot of Wrestlemania...but Pamela Anderson is also a prize. It's rumble 95! Enjoy! Review starts at 40:33.

We also briefly discuss AEW and its potential to be a game changing wrestling organization. Then, it's time to review a pay-per-view where Carlito and Chris Masters have a shot at the WWE World Title (not joking) as they do battle in a New Years Revolution elimination chamber that managed to deliver despite the limited RAW roster. We also spend some time chatting Shelton Benjamin's "mama". Happy New Year!

The show featured a lot of great talent in not-so-great matches. In this week's news section we cover yet another "new era" for the WWE, iMPACT and WOW getting their new tv deals, and Alex gives up on Dean Ambrose. Enjoy! Review starts around the 46:00 mark. 19/12/2018 Duración: 02h13min

Then, it's time to fire up your Harley Davidson and head to Sturgis where Hulk Hogan attempts to win the WCW title despite working for the nWo. So throw on your $100 Hog Wild jean jacket and join us on this bumpy ride as we review Hog Wild 1996. The review starts around 1:01:00.
