31/03/2022 Duración: 26minOn this episode I will talk about a topic I try to stay away from because it's so sensitive. Episode 69 – Finding balance in training
09/03/2022 Duración: 10minI have always been an all or nothing type of person when it comes to training. That's why I fluctuate between the extremes of really fit or really fat. It is very hard for me to see anything but black and white when it comes to this space. The grey area is very difficult for me to find. However, I work hard everyday to try and find it. Here are the latest steps I've taken on that journey to equilibrium. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nyctalking/message

Episode 68 – Mental health: It is okay to not be okay!
20/01/2022 Duración: 12minFor some reason, today I remember how a “friend” told me, “Hey Angel, you are strong, you are alright” as she completely dismissed my feelings and the stuff I was going through. It was so cold and truly hurt me. In my eyes, this person went from someone who was very important, to someone I once knew. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nyctalking/message

Episode 64 - Cosmetic Surgery
22/11/2021 Duración: 18minOver the years, at one point or another I have considered cosmetic surgery. I am human after all. I've witnessed quite a few friends do these types of surgeries with zero complications. However, I personally know of at least two people who actually lost their lives because of it. At the end of the day, for myself, I felt that the dangers associated with cosmetic surgery were not worth the potential benefits. In this episode, let's do a deep dive into this topic. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nyctalking/message

Episode 63 - Mi casa es su casa
22/11/2021 Duración: 07minOn this episode I discuss a point that the Godfather, Vito Corleone made in the very first scene of the very first movie. "You never invited me over to your home for coffee." Should we invite people to our homes as a show of love, etc? Let's talk about that and more on this episode. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nyctalking/message

Episode 61 - Eric Adams elected New York City mayor
03/11/2021 Duración: 09minSo for only the second time in NYC history, we have elected a black man as NYC mayor. Perhaps you wonder why we make a big deal of this or why we mention his race so often and it is quite simple really. The fact that it is only the second time is in and of itself my response to you. It is very rare occurrence and that should speak volumes as to why we emphasize it. In any case, I wish Eric Adams much success in his new role as mayor. His success is our success. I voted for Adams because I believed he was the candidate that was most balanced and likely to restore order here in NYC in a way that is fair to all parties involved. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nyctalking/message

Episode 59 - Rude lady on the subway
25/10/2021 Duración: 09minSo my wife and I encountered a rude lady on the subway. This wasn't an overt or extremely obvious situation, it was more discreet and subtle. Episode 58 - Mental health Firestarter
23/10/2021 Duración: 12minOn this episode we talk about a woman who has been setting fires in the building across the street. Episode 57 - NYC Mayoral Race
21/10/2021 Duración: 16minNext month we will be holding the NYC Mayoral election. The two top candidates are Eric Adams as the Democrat and Curtis Sliwa as the Republican. Now you would think that by default Eric Adams is going to be our Mayor, I'm sure that's what everyone is thinking. But to this I say, think back to the 2016 Presidential election. It was then too assumed that Hillary Clinton was going to be our next and first female president. However, despite everyone's beliefs and much to our disappointment, America had other plans. My message to Eric Adams is that he is not like Hillary Clinton in that capacity. Don't assume you've won, don't assume we are going to vote for you by default. I've invited both Eric Adams and Curtis Sliwa on the podcast, neither has responded or even acknowledged my existence. I did meet Eric in my building once so I thought he might get with your boy, but nah, it ain't happening. In any case, listen here to the latest episode of NYCTalking to get my not so educated thoughts on this campaign and how
