An Englishman In San Diego presents: A Conversation with David Glanzer (Director of Press & Public Relations, Comic-Con International) (30th May 2014) Moderated by Leonard Sultana, this was a special opportunity for the public face of Comic-Con International - David Glanzer -  to interact directly with attendees and fans of this incredible event. With eight weeks to go until this years San Diego Comic-Con, plans are afoot to make 2014 one of the most epic and memorable Cons to date. News and updates are starting to trickle in about what attendees can expect this July. However, questions are already being raised about the future: how CCI will manage badge sales for future Cons, the relationship the Con continues to develop with the city of San Diego, and the future of Comic-Con when the current contract with the Convention Centre expires.

The impending Badge Sale for SDCC Pre-Registration Attendees will no doubt set the template for General Badge Sales throughout 2014. We've already had updates announced by Comic-Con International of changes introduced to how Badges can be bought in this Sale, presenting a number of pressing questions as to how this can affect those wanting to attend this years Con in July. The San Diego Comic-Con G+ Community hosted a Hangout On Air with Steven Johnson, VP of Public Affairs for the San Diego Convention Center, to discuss the recent approval of the San Diego Coastal Commission to the expansion plans. and it's effect on the San Diego Comic-Con. This important ruling was the last remaining requirement for the expansion to go forward with the expansion. These are exciting times and this, obviously, means a great deal to the city of San Diego - for us fans of Comic-Con International, it's also a very exciting development for the future of the Con. We shall discussed how this ruling affects the Con in its current commitment to the Center, how the Con will run while the construction is under way and the future of Comic-Con in San Diego.
