11 Dead; One Survivor’s Story of The Deadliest Year Ever On Everest, 2019.
21/06/2019 Duración: 51minWe chatted with Tom Lawrence in March, 2019, just before his second attempt at summitting Mt Everest in April. And quite candidly, we were excited that Tom was using BioTropicLabs products especially our altitude supplement AltiFuel during this extreme elevation journey. (AltiFuel is BioTropicLabs’ custom formulated & proprietary altitude blend supplement designed exactly for this purpose. We’ll have Tom’s AltiFuel testimonial in due time, if that gives you a hint on how he felt it worked!) After our first chat (look for that on the podcast page) all of us really couldn’t wait to hear Tom’s story when he got back, to hear his story of completing his dream of successfully summitting Mt Everest. Moreover, Tom and I discussed getting live satellite phone updates directly from him on Everest, but we never heard from him, and we soon learned why. When we found out why, we all became very worried for his life. Bad news began to break concerning this season’s Mt Everest expedition. Reports that the climber

20/03/2019 Duración: 01h47minTom is a man of large accomplishments, a high level attorney and high risk-taking athlete. On the way to chasing down the 7 Summits, he’s chasing down his 2nd attempt to summit Mt. Everest. After Everest had its way with him kicking him off the mountain on his first summit attempt due to High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE) he decided to punch back. He’s headed to Everest yet again, in April, and with AltiFuel in hand! He’s ready for round 2.(And if things go well, we’ll even be getting live updates from Tom on Everest, as it’s happening, live to our Facebook page.)Everest is arguably the Crown Jewel of the 7's. 28/07/2017 Duración: 43minWe’re back with Danielle for part two of her story, and again, Wow! She’s a story of survival against all odds. It’s worth reminding you that she is now an athlete and coach extraordinaire, but once a addict, athlete + drug addict. She’s punished herself to the brink of death, by all rights her early choices should have checked her out of life long ago, but she’s still here. And what a blessing for her and the rest of us she is! She traversed mountain trails on bike and foot, putting her whole life to a test driven by an uncontrollable, unhealthy will where only fate would ultimately decide her outcome. Fate did decide. In this case, someone does get out alive. Rather than being crushed 6 feet under by the negative forces she invited into her life, she found a moment - an e

Hiking the Continental Divide Trail with Dr. Robert Dery
16/07/2017 Duración: 40minLong haul hiking As some of you know, I’m preparing to do a long haul hike, specifically, the Continental Divide Trail. So, this podcast is about the world of long haul hikers and a man who completed one, and part of another long hauler. So this intro is longer than usual, more of a blog-like intro, because to introduce this gentleman I need to provide some deeper context. What’s this all about? What’s a “long haul hike?” It depends on who you ask. But historically, it’s one of a small handful of very long hiking trail that don’t give up their lengths very easily. Here in the USA there are primarily 3 of them, 1) the AT or the Appalachian Trail (2,181 miles), 2) the PCT or Pacific Crest Trail (2,650 miles) and 3) the lesser known CDT, the Continental Divide Trail (3100 miles long). The Triple Crown Collectively these 3 trials are known as the Triple Crown. For those who complete one of these as a single, non stop hike, earn - and I do mean earn - the distinction of having completed what is known as a “T
