This week on YaketyCAST we find out what the 'f' in SILENT HILL f stands for, and naturally it's for FRED SAVAGE. Ernesto and John discuss a whole bunch of video game trailers that came out of the Playstation State of Play last week including WOLVERINE. They both saw ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER and give their full review of it, and they also discuss the trailer for THE BRIDE. PEACEMAKER episode 6 was absolutely WILD, and Ernesto gives us his thoughts on the two latest episodes of ALIEN: EARTH and THE LOWDOWN. Plus a bunch of music recommendations and GAMESTOP shenanigans!

Friends, we have been talking about this idea for at least a year and now we are finally here. EPISODE 350!! In this episode, we each pick three unproduced Doctor Who stories, flesh them out, fancast them, and pitch them to each other. This was so much fun to pull together and record! The boys are loving PEACEMAKER Season 2 and they've got a review for Episode 4 coming our way! All this plus some music reviews and who would win in the ultimate showdown: Alvin & The Chipmunks or Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers??

A couple days late, but worth the wait! As we reach the cusp of episode 350, we first look at the Jon Pertwee story Colony in Space. It's a little bit of a middling story, but there are some notable firsts, some great action, and a surprising amount of shoot outs!

The dynamic duo of YaketyCAST is back! This week John tells us about ALL FIVE of the video games he's completed since the last recording! Silent Hill 2 and Resident Evil 1 - 4! Ernesto saw CAUGHT STEALING and THE TOXIC AVENGER this week and he gives you hefty reviews on both! There were a ton of trailers to talk about including 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, The Black Phone 2, and Nuremberg! If you're watching PEACEMAKER, you're also in luck as they discuss the first three episodes of season two! Plus a whole lot of album reviews, creative arts Emmys winners, and an AI named DAIsy!

Everyone loves Gumby, right? That adorable though oddly shaped clay scamp who's always getting up to adventures with his friends? So what happened one episode in 1988 when Gumby encountered the grays!? Yes, this month we're looking at 7 minutes of UFO and alien lore expertly crammed into a single Gumby story. Did Clokey have an encounter of his own? Could Communion have influenced this story? And what the heck does DMT have to do with any of it! Also, Programming Note, because of life and various other things, we're having to move to record every other month. We're bummed to be doing fewer episodes, but it does give us time to do more research! So, see you in November!

This time we continue our escape into Classic Doctor Who with the 2nd Doctor adventure The Moonbase! One half animated, one half live action, we find ourselves on the moon in 2070 where a single base with a single Graviton beam is somehow controlling all the weather on Earth! This definitely feels like a situation where redundancies would have been helpful. But the Cybermen are back and poisoning sugar in order to take over the base and let Earth's weather go wacky and kill us all. Yeah, that seems like a strange plan, but at least the Cybermen know that we all love sugar way too much!

The rag tag hosts of YaketyCAST are back this week and they're joined once again by Tramell! This week our trio talk about a whole bunch of movies they've seen over the past couple of weeks: The Naked Gun, Weapons, Sketch, Shin Godzilla, and unfortunately WAR OF THE WORLDS! John finished like fifteen video games from last record and he gives his thoughts on those. Tramell lets us know how great TWISTED METAL SEASON 2 has been, and Ernesto lets us know if the new season of KING OF THE HILL holds up to the original. All this plus COSTCO and TACO BELL talk!

What does 70 pounds get you today? Not much, let's be honest. But in 1967 70 pounds got you an all-day bear rental so you didn't have to waste your money on stock footage!! And that's not the only exciting part of The Ice Warriors! It's a solid six-parter from the Troughton era that introduces these legendary foes and their very whispery tones!

August is here and, with that, our Summer of John comes to a conclusion with the return of co-host John Pingel and our topic: John Titor! From his early faxes to Art Bell in 1998 to his online postings of the early 2000s, we take a look at Titor's claims, his possible motives, his manner of travel, and potentially the reality that it was all just cooked up by a couple of Florida boys! Regardless, Titor's story came at a time where a late night radio tale could become an internet urban legend.

Well, folks, The Power of Three. Is it a reference to the strength of the Doctor plus his companions? Is it a reference to the "cubed" nature of our villains tools? Is it just something that sounded good in Chibnall's head as he wrote a rather glossed over story full of exceptional amounts of handwavium? We're not really sure and, as such, that causes this story to land rather awkwardly. Though it does have some good moments (heartwarming ones as well as the introduction of Kate Stewart), we kind of feel a bit meh about this adventure.

This week on YaketyCAST we are once again joined by special guest Tramell! Join our trio of hosts as they discuss a whole lot of the news that came out of San Diego Comic Con this past week! They also all saw FANTASTIC FOUR and give their thoughts on MARVEL's newest installment. They're also talking about Spinal Tap II, Peacemaker Season 2, a possible Booster Gold series, and that episode of South Park! PLUS: Who would win in the ultimate cartoon showdown...the Jetsons or the Flintstones?!

WELL. Here we are once again! This week we're talking about the BLADE script being on it's 4th version, Taika Waititi's JUDGE DREDD, Neil Druckmann leaving TLOU Season 3, and how John for some reason doesn't like listening to singles before albums come out. It's weird. We don't quite understand it either. We also discuss the trailers for TRON: ARES, Mortal Kombat II, and Hoppers! All this, plus a whole lot more nonsense!

It came from beneath the ice!! Yes, sounds like the start of a 50s b-movie where some alien plant pod falls to Earth in the distant past only to be discovered by mankind and have it germinate and try to take over the world. It probably would have some sort of villain who hates mankind so much, he identifies more with the plants than with humans. Gosh, that also sounds exactly like our episode this week!

After a week off the fine folks of YaketyCAST are BACK! This week they are once again joined by Tramell as they navigate through the last two weeks of crazy entertainment news! They have reviews for SUPERMAN and JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH. They talk the last three episodes of IRONHEART, the reboot of SCRUBS, and yelling at people who talk in movies! Plus: John has finished playing both ALAN WAKE 2 and GOD OF WAR, and our trio discuss those as well. Join them for all of this nonsense and much more!

Ladies and Gents and everyone out there, we are back after basically a month to recover from Ncuti's last episode. And we needed something light, something entertaining and the animated recreation of The Savages fits the bill! Set as something of an allegory on anti-apartheid South Africa, The Savages lets you think one thing early on and then has you wondering who are the "real" savages. It's a very solid story and good animation and a hilarious twist that neither of us saw coming!

This month it appears we ask the question that no one else really has: what if John Frum were an actual person? Yes, we're looking at the John Frum Movement on the island of Tanna in the South Pacific. This cargo cult is legendary, but then we start to research who John Frum could have been and things get really interesting from there!
