Take the Black Podcast: We look back on the second half of Game of Thrones S7
21/09/2017 Duración: 02h01minWelcome to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week, we continue our look back at season 7 recap, picking up with “Eastwatch” and going through to the end of “The Dragon and the Wolf.” Our panel picks (and nitpicks) through the highs and lows. Our topics include: Jaime and Bronn’s escape from Drogon. Too much?Is Cersei’s pregnancy a fake?We gush over Jon Snow’s bonding moment with Drogon.Jorah returns, but he hasn’t left the friendzone.Fermented Crab must taste awful. We tackle Jon Snow’s quest to catch a wight. We weren’t huge fans. “Beyond the Wall” in general takes a bit of a beating. On the rebound, we loved the Dragonpit sequence from “The Dragon and the Wolf.”We discuss the dimensions and implications of #BoatSex, which was made all the better because of Kit Harington’s amazing bottom.Littlefinger’s death was awesome, but the story that led it…Undead Viserion was scary as f*ck.What happened to Tormund and Beric? As usual, Take the Black leans heavily on the

Take the Black Podcast: We recap the first 4 episodes of Game of Thrones S7
06/09/2017 Duración: 02h09minWelcome to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week, we are joined by Dan Selke and Richard Preston, and of course, the lovely Sarah is there are well, as we recap Game of Thrones season 7, episodes 1-4. Our topics: We all agreed the cold open in the premiere episode, "Dragonstone," was the best one in the entire series. We also agree that Jon and Sansa should have talked before meeting with the Northern Lords, as their arguing openly made them look foolish.Euron Greyjoy was a surprising delight, especially after his dull appearance in season 6.Sarah really liked the poop montage.During episode 702, "Stormborn," Corey Smith and Sarah talk about grumpy Daenerys. We all loved the war room scene at Dragonstone, as it was extremely empowering for women to have the leaders of each force to be a woman.Again, Jon and Sansa arguing in public was foolhardy. We loved the cinematography and amazing action from that action packed Greyjoy sea battle.Episode 703, "The Queen's J

Take the Black Podcast: We discuss the Game of Thrones season 7 finale
29/08/2017 Duración: 01h36minWelcome to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week our panel dives head first into the Game of Thrones season 7 finale -- "The Dragon and the Wolf." Our topics include: Brienne and the Hound's proud parents moments when discussing Arya. The CLEGANEBOWL that never happened, but might have been foreshadowed.Euron Greyjoy tried to be funny but Tyrion and Theon put him away like the trash that he is.Did Tyrion make a deal to place Cersei's baby on the Iron Throne after Dany dies? Is this why he was skulking in the shadows when #EpicBoatSex happened?Sansa broke the fourth wall when she acknowledged she was a slow learner.Did Arya cut Littlefinger's throat in that manner so she could save his face for later?Rhaegar and Lyanna's wedding was neat.Bran is capable of jokes. The Night King sure did make short work of the Wall.Gods, please let Tormund and Beric be okay. As usual, Take the Black leans heavily on the NSFW side (beware of F-bombs). You’ve been warned. See omn

Take the Black Podcast: We discuss Game of Thrones "Beyond the Wall"
23/08/2017 Duración: 01h21minWelcome to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week, our panel discusses everything from that intense Game of Thrones episode 706, "Beyond the Wall." While our panel largely agrees "Beyond the Wall" was a sloppy episode filled with convenient filler and plot holes galore, strangely enough, we all enjoyed it. Our topics include: Cory Thone didn't enjoy the one on one conversations between Jon and Jorah, and Jon and Beric because he felt it was too forced. We all loved the Hound and Tormund's interaction because, well, Tormund. The sister drama is a bore, it's forced, and we're all over it: Arya's a nutjob and Sansa is a spoiled rotten princess who can't have her way.We all agree that Dany is not turning into the Mad Queen. Her discussion with Tyrion was a highlight. Also, Tyrion hurt her feelings with the whole not having kids thing. Dick. How did that one wight -- let's call him Larry -- survive when the others fell to pieces once that White Walker was killed?Larr

Take the Black Podcast: We discuss Game of Thrones "Eastwatch"
16/08/2017 Duración: 01h53minWelcome to another fun and exciting episode of Winter is Coming's Game of Thrones podcast -- Take the Black. This week, our larger than usual panel discusses all the ins and outs, highs and lows of episode 705, "Eastwatch." Some topics: Dan believes the opener was a wasted opportunity for a good cliffhanger.Thone and Sarah heatedly debate Dany's decision to burn Dickon and Randyll Tarly. I really loved the Jon and Drogon scene. While Ser Friendzone is back, Isis knows he's no competition for Jon Snow.Corey Smith doesn't remember seeing an animal's eyes warg white on the show before, and he thinks that's a neat touch. We all agree the Maesters are just the worst. The subtle reveal that Rhaegar and Lyanna Stark were married thus legitimized Jon was done quite cleverly. We marvel at Jon's reaction to the news of Arya and Bran's homecoming.Gendry is back and Isis and Sarah can't get enough. We felt the ending was cheesy, and overall, the episode was rushed more than usual. As usual, Take the Black leans heavily on th

Take the Black Podcast: Ice and Fire meet on "The Queen's Justice"
01/08/2017 Duración: 01h29minWelcome to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week we're joined by WiCnet contributor Sarah Weymes who provides some much needed European class to the show. This week, our topics include: Dany and Jon meet for the first time.Sarah gives us some insight on why she doesn't really like Daenerys. She has valid points. We discuss the childish entitlement Dany exudes in this episode. Cersei may just be the evilest villain on the show. Making Ellaria watch her daughter rot is a special kind of evil. Did Cersei get pregnant during her post murder sex with Jaime? Sansa is running Winterfell like a boss, and she deserves credit for it.Bran is a Host from Westworld.Sam continues to do amazing things and will probably find the key to defeating the Night King in those paper scrolls Measter Ebrose is making him go through. We worry for Grey Worm's life after the Euron ambush at sea. As usual, Take the Black leans heavily on the NSFW side (beware of C & F-bombs). You've been

Take the Black Podcast: The Hot Pie that was Promised - Game of Thrones 702
25/07/2017 Duración: 01h39minWelcome to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week, our merry band of miscreants discusses every scene from episode 702, "Stormborn." A lot happened in this episode, from grumpy Dany to the return of Hot Pie, and we cover it all on this episode of Take the Black. Our topics: Dany's probably grumpy because she brought her bikini for some beach time, and it's been raining ever since she landed on Dragonstone.Isis likes the fact that Varys stood up to the Dragon Queen.Melisandre showed up and Missandei took over the vacancy left by Stannis as the grammar nazi.Dany said Jon Snow's name and now we're all freaking out.Davos just figured out that dragon flame kills wights, as we all roll our eyes.Randyl Tarly is still a dick, and now he's the general of the Lannister army. Cersei has a new toy and she ruined a perfectly good dragon skull to test it. Sam is the smartest man at the Citadel, and his curing of Jorah may prove it. Sansa still hasn't learned to keep her m
