The Ravens suffered a brutal loss to the Browns today, with much of the damage coming their way being of the self inflicted nature. More boneheaded penalties, poor play on third down, a miss from Justin Tucker, and several dropped interceptions (including one that could've ended the game) undid Baltimore as they fall to 5-3, with many questions to answer as they head into a game against the Broncos next week. For a fanbase that's seen a lot of wild games, today's tilt with the Bengals in Cincinnati certainly is going into the pantheon. This one had everything except consistently good defense - Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson making amazing plays, critical plays by both defenses, boneheaded decision making by John Harbaugh and Zac Taylor, and a kicker's duel in the end that Justin Tucker got the better of. After this massive victory, the Ravens have gained ground in the AFC North, and hope to have left the Bengals for dead at 1-4. For the second year in a row, the Orioles have been swept at home in the postseason, bringing their streak of not having won a playoff game to 10. This time around, there are more questions than answers as this team heads for the golf course though, as their second half collapse that was a premonition for this disaster of a series has everything up in the air for a ball club who had World Series aspirations. Jake and Eric are here to talk about it all, including a devastatingly quiet series from an offense we hoped had it turned it around, why that hurts even more because of the admirable performance of this pitching staff across both games, and what the Orioles need to think about to ensure we don't see anything like this happen again in 2025.
