Joining the podcast today for something a bit different is Lee Sanderlin (@LeeOSanderlin), a reporter on the courts beat for the Baltimore Sun. Lee joins Jake to discuss a few different topics, mainly one of the stories he's been following over the past few weeks that's taken a turn for the strange. That would be the saga of Roy McGrath, a former aide to governor Larry Hogan who was scheduled to stand trial for embezzlement and wire fraud, but went missing the day his trial was supposed to begin. He's still yet to be found, and in the time being, an ebook by a mystery author has been released, purporting to tell Roy's side of the story in all that's happened. It was another banner day in Ravens twitter, as the team's franchise quarterback took to the website to let the world know that on March 2nd, he requested a trade from the team. Was this an attempt to sandbag John Harbaugh's media availability? Is Lamar trying to force his way out of town, or just force the Ravens hand in paying him? March 2nd was an unusually toxic day in the history of Ravens Twitter, something that wouldn't have seemed to matter so much 10 years ago, but now seems to be a relatively important issue. Especially as it relates to how the organizations players feel they're being treated, and when they use the bird app to go and voice their negative opinions in that regard. Three guys very familiar with Ravens Twitter are Jake, Spenny, and Banks who hopped on the mic to recap a wild few days, starting with an NFLPA report that left egg on the faces of many higher ups within The Castle, as well as an explosive tweet from Rashod Bateman that directly called out Eric DeCosta. With the Lamar Jackson saga continuing to drag out, the last thing this club needs is more drama - unfortunately, it seems like they can't avoid it these days.
