After moving away from Baltimore, the once iconic Colts franchise had some difficulties recapturing their past glories - that is, until a certain quarterback prospect entered the picture. Peyton Manning had everything needed to turn the franchise around, and he did so from day one... but as the years passed and chances to win a Super Bowl continued to slip away, questions began to arise about Manning and the Colts' abilities to get it done. The deadline has passed! The full crew reacts to everything the Orioles did and didn't do right as the 6 PM trade deadline came and went. They dive into the impact of the Jack Flaherty deal and the pieces the Orioles gave up to bring in the former St. Louis hurler. The fellas also reflect on what the decisions made at the deadline indicate about the club's overall timeline and organizational philosophy.

After getting out to a perfect 4-0 start, the Baltimore Ravens were feeling pretty good about the experiment that was the 2006 season. That multiple unstable compounds such as a talented but unsatisfied roster, a head coach teetering on the hot seat, and an accomplished but ailing veteran quarterback could gel like that to start the year was a great feeling. But when they hit a bump in the road heading into their bye week, Brian Billick began to feel that drastic change was needed. After a Hall of Fame playing career, Ozzie Newsome chose to continue to test his football mettle by cutting his teeth in Bill Belichick's personnel department in the final days of the original Cleveland Browns organization. At the behest of Ozzie's boss Art Modell, this franchise was about to move to Baltimore, and the team building keys would be handed over to Newsome full-stop. As it happened, he was more than ready for the opportunity, building what would be the eventual Super Bowl XXXV champions from the dusty bones of a franchise that was torn asunder through this moving process. But living up to championship expectations is difficult, and once you set that precedent, there's no turning back. The Fall of 2006 was a tenuous time for Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick. In just seven seasons on the job, he had seen everything from taking an unheralded young franchise to a Super Bowl, to a revolving door at quarterback, and an ownership change that would severely shake up his professional life. The team’s new owner was a self-made billionaire from unassuming beginnings named Steve Bisciotti, and it was the fact that he and the head coach of his new team were more alike than different that would make their dynamic a difficult one to navigate. Billick’s act was easy to take when the results on the field were positive; when things went the other way, the charm had a tendency to wear off a bit.
