Mad Monday - Episode 153
28/08/2017 Duración: 53minIt was 23 weeks ago that we all thought we had picked the best AFL Fantasy Classic possible team under the $11M salary cap or drafted the best team against our mates in Fantasy Draft. For most of us, we learned on the weekend that indeed, our Classic side wasn't that great and it was the mate who nailed his Draft side and was first to hunt the free agents who won the league Grand Final. Selby Lee-Steere walks away as the champion of AFL Fantasy Classic for 2017 after his side, Moreira's Magic racked up 50,909 points for the year. The Traders caught up with the jubilant coach on this week's episode of the podcast. Selby tells the boys what went right and what went wrong to help him win the overall prize and gives his tips to help you taste success next season. Roy, Calvin and Warnie wrap up a monster season as they celebrate, Mad Monday style, a year full of plenty of highs and lows. Grand Finals - Episode 151
21/08/2017 Duración: 53minHere it is, the culmination of the 2017 season; round 23 and the AFL Fantasy Grand Finals. After 22 weeks, 45 trades and thousands of Fantasy points added up it all comes down to this last game of the season for the two combatants featuring in your respective league grand finale. What do you do with your two trades this week? Chasing players with a favourable match-up is a preferred move. During the last three weeks, North Melbourne, Fremantle, Gold Coast, West Coast and Fremantle have been giving up the most Fantasy points. Their opponents this week, in order, are Brisbane Lions, Essendon, Port Adelaide, Adelaide and Collingwood. The Traders discuss the best moves to make so you can claim the bragging rights that will last all summer by being your league's champion. Roy, Warnie and Calvin look at the numbers of the past as they project the top scoring 22 for round 23. Can it beat Cameron's team "Inhuman Rampage" that finished with 2702 points on the weekend? Preliminary Finals - Episode 149
14/08/2017 Duración: 50minRound 22 is the preliminary finals weekend for AFL Fantasy leagues. The remaining four teams battle it out in a do-or-die clash, aiming for a spot in the Grand Final. There is no tomorrow after this week. (Well, you can obviously keep playing and there is Fantasy Match Day with a chance to win $1000 each weekend that continues throughout September). Most coaches were faced with a couple of forced trades ahead of the semi-finals. Whether it was the suspended Brodie Grundy or injured Joel Selwood, there were issues left right and centre with a range of trades made, adding plenty of variation to teams for the Fantasy final series. Hopefully this week is a little easier. Selby Lee-Steere is watching the Fantasy scores each weekend and what the moves coaches at the pointy end of the rankings are doing. His team, Moreira's Magic, is the No. 1 team overall and following a score of 2209 on the weekend, holds a commanding 374 point lead over second place. While Selby may have one hand on the car keys, but as we

Semi Finals - Episode 147
07/08/2017 Duración: 48minTwo teams were knocked out of the Fantasy finals race on the weekend, two now have the week off and wait to see who they take on from this weekend's do-or-die semi-finals. Almost every week coaches are faced with new challenges. Joel Selwood has been a highly sought after player in the last few weeks since dipping below $500,000. 64 per cent of the top 250 coaches own Geelong's skipper and will be faced with a forced trade this week. Unfortunately for Selwood owners, his price is $466,000 and it may require some creative thinking to get the most out of the move. Enter the Match Review Panel. Brodie Grundy can accept two weeks for his tackle on Ben Brown, while Zach Merrett and Mitch Duncan can take a week with a guilty plea. Draft owners of Tom Hawkins could be without him for two weeks if he accepts his penalty. Add to that a few injuries and the carnage that is bound to find us when teams are released on Thursday night, you will have to earn your win if you are to get through this week. The Traders he

Finals Time - Episode 145
31/07/2017 Duración: 53minFantasy coaches are reeling from the news that Patrick Dangerfield has been offered a one-week suspension from the Match Review Panel. The second most selected player in Fantasy Classic was cited for his rough conduct on Matthew Kreuzer on Saturday night. If he accepts the one-match ban with an early plea, down from two weeks, 56 per cent of coaches will be making a big call this week on what to do with the Brownlow Medallist. The Fantasy finals work in the same way that the AFL ones do. The top four have a double chance this week, while fifth to eighth face elimination. Strategy for this round can be different from team to team. Curveballs like the Dangerfield suspension, injuries to key players and decisions on who to field or bench will play a key role in shaping the way in each league plays out. Not only for Classic, but for Draft leagues. Picking the right free agents in a time of need can go a long way to deciding upcoming head-to-head battles this weekend. The Best 22 - Episode 143
24/07/2017 Duración: 53minFantasy footy can be a guessing game. You can use the past to help you make decisions on what will happen in the future, but we don't always have a crystal ball to predict what will happen this week or a few weeks down the track. That hasn't stopped Roy putting together his best 22 for the last few rounds. The coach of destROY has looked at the top players per position and has made a call on who have been the best of late and who is likely to keep it going for the remaining five rounds. In defence, Sam Docherty and Taylor Adams quite easily sit in at one and two, but new DEF/MID Connor Blakely also gets a gig with his excellent late season form. Kade Simpson and Rory Laird have been consistent throughout the season with Michael Hibberd showing some great form to round out the back six. The midfield picks itself. Tom Mitchell, Patrick Dangerfield and Zach Merrett are the big three that are must-haves. Josh Kelly has enjoyed a stellar season and we can purchase him in Fantasy for much less than he may be o

Final Wave Of DPPs - Episode 141
17/07/2017 Duración: 52minThe third and final round of dual position adjustments rolled out on Sunday evening. A group of 15 players holding a single position status were awarded a secondary position based on a changed role in their team in recent weeks. Champion Data, the official stats gurus of the AFL, keep tabs on every player in every game and have highlighted those who are playing in a different position to their initial Fantasy position allocated. Fantasy coaches find most value in players who are originally listed as midfielders and acquire either forward or defender status. That's not to say the flexibility of a forward or defender adding midfield status isn't a good thing, but at this stage of the season it's all about fielding your best 22. Collingwood's Steele Sidebottom ranks second at the club for disposals inside 50 since round 12 and shares his time between the wing and forward line. At $635,000 it is going to take a decent upgrade to grad the new No. 1 Fantasy forward who is averaging 108.8 this season. It'll be w

Thanks, Hodgey - Episode 140
10/07/2017 Duración: 52minOn Monday, Hawthorn veteran Luke Hodge announced his retirement from AFL. He will play out the last seven rounds. This weekend's match against the Cats will be Hodge's 300th in what has been a career full of amazing highs. Four flags, a couple of Norm Smith Medals, multiple All-Australian nods and most importantly, a Fantasy footy staple of our sides for more than a decade. The former Hawthorn skipper has a career high of 159 Fantasy points scored against the Western Bulldogs in 2015. That same year yielded his best Fantasy return. An average of 111 from his 17 matches. Hodge's career average is currently 89.7. This season the 33-year-old has knocked up four tons so far for an average of 90.4. Roy, Calvin and Warnie pay tribute to one of their favourite footballers on this week's episode of the podcast. They discuss his career and thank him for the insight he has given the Fantasy community over the years. Hello Mr Darcy - Episode 139
03/07/2017 Duración: 43minThe advice last week was to avoid picking 19-year-old Fremantle ruckman Sean Darcy despite an impressive 80 point game on debut. The issue, Aaron Sandilands would be back. Those ideas have now changed. A season ending hamstring injury to Aaron Sandilands and 114 Fantasy points thanks to 33 hitouts, 16 disposals, 7 tackles and a goal has made Darcy hot property this week. Darcy was taken at pick 38 in the 2016 National Draft and has been impressive in the WAFL averaging 29 hitouts and 77 Fantasy points from his 11 games. He now has a chance to shoulder the majority of the Dockers' ruck load. With the lowest breakeven in the competition of -28, Darcy's price has already increased by $75,000 and is set to be a popular late season cash cow. The Traders discuss on how you can take advantage of Darcy's new found opportunity on this week's episode of the Official AFL Fantasy Podcast. Also in this week's podcast: - The highs and lows from round 15 - Fantasy news including injuries, suspensions, "Magoos news" a
