"Will Grigg's on fire!" was the chant of a nation of football fans. Will people point at us and say we are a people on fire? Jesus said that a lukewarm people make him sick - we must choose to embrace His fire in this life so that we burn brighter and brighter as time goes on.

We need the people around us and we need the Holy Spirit. If we write people off as soon as they let us down we lose years of gain. Likewise, we cannot do life without the Holy Spirit. A childlike ease comes to us after just a moment in His presence.

God has chosen to use the unlikely people. No matter what you think in your moments of self-doubt (and we all have them), the Holy Spirit wants to take you and say "the Lord is with you, mighty man of valour." Will you face your fear?

Many settle for an impotent Christianity where obedience is optional, but we must say "I want to be ruled" to Jesus. God has a process, He is a God of detail: when we follow we live lives of great power and we manifest the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Melanie shares that rather than using the prophetic for periodically receiving your instruction, and living from call to call, revelation to revelation, we should see our whole life as a flowing, ongoing friendship with Jesus. Like dancers, we keep in step with our lead partner who is always governing an intimate friendship with us.

Sometimes in the busyness we forget that the joy of the Lord is to be found. No matter the circumstances - Paul in prison, or death in the family - we Christians can be a people filled with a joy inexpressible, with very good reasons behind it.

Take heart! Fear causes heaviness but when we have faith to see what God sees, there is a supernatural light inside us which enables us to do crazy things with God.

God sees it all. He loves our hard labour for Him but what He wants more than anything is our love.

It's not natural, but we should desire the path fraught with difficulties! Jesus called it the narrow path, and James told us why we should consider it pure joy when we face trials of various kinds. They must happen, and we must know why so that they might have their full result.

Are we being faithful with the little?    God is making a masterpiece of our lives, but if we neglect the little things, the picture will never be completed.
