Day and night satan is accusing us, trying to intimidate us - when we lose perspective, those tactics can become giants in our lives. There is nothing more exhilarating to the human heart than the revelation of Jesus. When Jesus asked Peter “Who do you say I am?”, it was God the Father who revealed to Peter that Jesus was the Messiah. It is on this very revelation of who Jesus is, that He will build His Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. We serve a sinless God – He is perfect, but we are not. This causes many of us to wonder how we can relate to Him, and some even to wrongfully withdraw from Him because of His holiness. This is not God’s will for us, because when we grasp His holiness, we experience His glory. As we draw nearer to Him, everything this world has to offer will pale in comparison to Him. In Jesus’ final prayer, He prayed for His disciples, including us. He asked the Father to keep us in unity with Him, and with one another. This shows that unity is of utmost importance to the Lord, and worth contending for. The Word tells us that a house divided against itself cannot stand – if we do not have unity with one another, the enemy can easily get a foothold in our churches. A cruise ship is a large vessel built for passengers who desire comfort and entertainment, but it will not hold up in stormy waters. It is not God’s intent for the New Testament Church to be a vessel like this. Rather, His intent is for us to be a ship of crew members, working together to navigate any seas toward the common goal of advancing the Kingdom of God.   In this message, Euan MacRae looks at how God intends to restore the Church to His original intent – namely through shaking all that can be shaken. Roland Paul preaches a moving message about God’s compassionate heart towards us, as He chooses to feel our pain and sorrow, and is deeply affected by our hardships. This compassion moves Him to intervene in our lives, just as Jesus was moved by compassion for the crowds around Him. Andrew Selley’s opening message for this Conference epitomize the Lord’s desire is for all believers: to orientate our entire lives around Him and His purposes. Andrew challenges false beliefs about God’s plan for our lives, and shares that we are more than ordinary citizens of His Kingdom – we are priests. The Lord has called all of us into something bigger than many realise, which is to make disciples out of all nations. Andrew unpacks what Scripture tells us about how we are to live for God and His Kingdom. We must be equipped for this task and break free from complacency and worldly affairs. 

When we open our homes, we open our lives and, in turn, open our hearts to one another. Rousseau Moss looks at the example the early church set by being devoted to one another in a way we don’t often see in Christianity today. He looks at the life of Jesus, and significant events that happened when He was in people’s homes. When we bring people into our homes, they bring life, and we connect deeper with one another. This message from Rousseau addresses the ‘why’ and ‘how’ behind hosting and hospitality as we continue to endeavour to build according to His blueprint. 

In this session, Ashley Gabriel reminds us that the Christian journey will bring us to trials and troubles, that Scripture tells us that we must suffer many hardships. These hardships will test one's faith, and therefore saints need encouragement and strengthening. Ashley unpacks how we can stand firm and avoid shipwrecking our faith when facing difficulty. He looks at the importance of the apostolic, building healthy churches, the prophetic, and healthy partnership as key foundations to prevent us, as individuals and as churches, from falling away.
