Theme: Because of the meaning of ‘baptism’ and especially the symbolism of being placed in, buried, raised, and clothed with Christ, full immersion is the best mode for water baptism.

Water baptism is done under the authority of the Trinity in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In view of the biblical teaching on the New Covenant and water baptism, only those who have personally professed faith in Christ should be water baptized.

There is an overarching story to the whole of scripture that should affect every passage that we read. God is bringing glory to Himself through the Person and work of Jesus Christ as He creates and redeems a people who glorify and enjoy Him forever.

Christ's resurrection is the basis of our salvation, so that we can rejoice in what has come to us entirely by grace.

Water baptism does not remove original sin, or produce regeneration or justification, but it is the sign that these things have been already done by God and received by faith alone.

Water baptism is the sign and seal of our union with Christ, a means of grace to provide strength in our struggle against sin, and the medium through which we testify of our faith in Christ and membership in the church.

The Bible is the only infallibleand inerrant rule of faith, sufficient for salvation and holiness. Other creeds and confesions amy be helpful summaries, but must be tested by Scripture, which is the final authority.

To glorify God and enjoy Him forever, we must let the Word dwell in us richly as we hear, read, study, memorize, and meditate on God’s Word.

Where do we learn how to glorify God and enjoy Him forever? In His Word, the Bible.

Why did God create humans?  To glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

God has promised a new heavens and earth, which believers begin to experience now, and will be completed at the return of Christ.

Jesus reveals not only what it means to be the Son of God, but what it means to be a child of the Father.

God invites us to turn from the idols of this world which can never really satisfy, and to come to Him and receive that which fully satisfies the hunger and thirst of our souls.

When we begin to fathom the depths of the greatness of God, does this bring us to a point of awe at the majesty of God that we must break forth in Praise?
