God is sovereign, so He is in complete control of salvation. Therefore, by design, Jesus did not die for everyone just to make salvation possible—He died specifically for a definite people that God predestined for redemption. This lesson begins in Romans 1:6 but points to Romans chapter 9 where the apostle Paul expounds this doctrine fully.
