This is the place where the world discusses indoor air quality, the built environment and disaster restoration issues. Every Friday at noon ET the show is live. The shows host are Joe Hughes, President of IAQ Training Institute and Cliff Zlotnik, President of Microban Systems. Every week we interview experts from the indoor air quality, building sciences and disaster restoration industry. As instructors for IAQ and disaster restoration training programs and active participants in industry associations we have the credibility and contacts necessary to bring top industry experts as guests on the show every week. The show is designed to help promote education and communication for industry professionals and consumers in need of assistance with IAQ, built environment and disaster restoration issues.

    The Pioneers of IEQ Series returns this with pioneer practitioner and educator Mike McGuinness, CIH, CET, CIAQP. Mr. McGuinness began his career in industrial hygiene and occupational health with NJ Department of Labor in 1973. He also worked for six years with the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) before returning to the NJ DOL as their Senior Occupational Health Consultant. In 1984 he started RK Occupational & Environmental Analysis, Inc. to provide industrial hygiene, occupational health and indoor environmental quality consulting and training services for a wide range of public and private clients. Mr. McGuinness is one of only 70 CIH's worldwide with the Indoor Environmental Quality sub-specialty through the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH). Anyone that knows him is aware that he has some strong opinions and is not afraid to voice them.     Dr. Randy R. Rapp is an Associate Professor of Building Construction Management Technology at Purdue University and coordinates the Disaster Restoration and Reconstruction Management concentration. He has practical experience of the impact of both natural and man-made disasters and has worked in government and commercial contexts. While with Kellogg, Brown & Root (KBR), he served in project controls and operations for Hurricane Katrina and materiel and logistics management for Hurricane Wilma. He was also the project controls manager and deputy program general manager for the Restore Iraqi Oil program. With Edward R. Fisk, he co-authored the Introduction to Engineering Construction Inspection (2004), contributes to redevelopment of the Certified Restorer credential for the Restoration Industry Association, and chaired the Government Affairs Committee of the Institute for Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC).

    Larry Robertson, the Indoor Air Quality Association's 1st President and founding board member and has been a leader in IAQ research and services for over 2 decades. Robertson is known for establishing Mycotech Biological, Inc. He also contributed in the initial development of the CIE and CMR certification programs and served on the Texas Mold Task Force relative to the development of mold regulations in the State of Texas. He was formerly at the Centers for Disease Control/National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, where he was head of the National Occupational Research Agenda Team on Indoor Environments. Dr. Mendell holds a BA from Cornell University; a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon; and a PhD in epidemiology from the University of California at Berkeley, School of Public Health.
