Joshua 3 & 4. God commanded Joshua and the Israelites to commemorate the crossing of the Jordan with 12 stones. As leaders, our lives and legacy should point to God's greatness.

Before Joshua was a leader of the nation, he was a servant to Moses and a faithful general. Every Christian can be a godly leader by serving and trusting. Numbers 27:18; Titus 2

Past mistakes, and present circumstances can often lead us to feel inadequate when faced with life's challenges and opportunities. But many people in the Bible, including Moses, overcame their insecurity through trusting God's promises and relying on His power. Exodus 3-4

We often overestimate our ability to overcome temptation, and underestimate our ability to overcome trials. Loss is inevitable, but God has promised to comfort us in our grief and to help us to emerge from it. (Based on "Life Preservers" by Bob Russell) Job; Ecclesiastes 3:4

Sexual sin, divorce, and impurity can all leave scars and consequences even after we've repented. But Jesus can heal us and give us a new future by the grace and mercy of God. John 8:1-11

Politics can be a lot of baggage when mixed with Christianity. But Jesus was a political figure, using his public influence to bring about a social agenda. His followers, likewise are called to continue Jesus' agenda. Philippians 1:27

Addiction can hold someone in bondage and ruin their lives and relationships. And we can be addicted to anything that has mastered us. But we learn through Jesus' ministry that He can free us from that baggage, allowing us to take our addiction to God, take it public, and take it down. Luke 8:26-39

Most of us, at times, carry around baggage from past hurts and mistruths. But God never intended his followers to carry such burdens. Instead, we acknowledge our baggage and give it to Jesus. Hebrews 12:1

In the multi-billion dollar gift-card industry, several billion dollars worth go unclaimed every year. What a waste! But the free gift of God found in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection often goes unclaimed. Why not experience for yourself the life-changing gift card of the Resurrection? John 21:15-19

The Jewish Passover meal wasn't just a holiday, but the meal itself told a story for those who ate - a story about God's salvation for his people. Jesus tells a new story of His salvation from sin in Communion. Matthew 26:20-29 (Adapted from Southeast Christian Church)

In the parable of the Great Banquet, Jesus teaches us that the invitation is for everyone. And though many will reject it, we are called to urgently bring others to fill the house! Luke 14:15-24
