So far, he has organised medical camps in several villages in India, treated thousands of patients, and saved many lives through early diagnosis and care. In today’s materialistic and commercialised world, it is remarkable for a qualified doctor to take a pledge never to engage in private practice. - दरभंगा के डॉ रमन किशोर, जिन्हें लोग “गाँव के डॉक्टर” के नाम से जानते हैं, ने गया मेडिकल कॉलेज से एमबीबीएस और एम्स पटना से एमडी की पढ़ाई की। अपनी माँ की बीमारी के बाद उन्होंने गरीबों की सेवा को अपना लक्ष्य बना लिया। उन्होंने अब तक बहुत से गाँवों में स्वास्थ्य शिविर लगाए हैं और हज़ारों मरीज़ों का इलाज किया है। यही नहीं डॉ किशोर ने कई लोगों की जान शुरुआती इलाज से बचाई। आज के व्यावसायिक दौर में एम्स जैसे संस्थान से पढ़े डॉक्टर का निजी प्रैक्टिस न करने का संकल्प उन्हें विशेष बनाता है।
