  • The Critic

    25/06/2018

The moment you step out of the box, your life is open season for the critics. And today, social media makes their jobs even easier. Even before our internet exposure Ernest Hemingway once said "Critics are men who watch a battle from a high place then come down and shoot the survivors." And unfortunately Christianity is no different. One careless opinion shot into the air often transforms a Mission Field into a Battle Field. But be of good cheer, Christ overcame His critics and so we shall overcome ours.

  • Anxiety

    17/06/2018

Anxiety is a joy kill—the joy of our salvation to be exact. At the surface no one knows Anxiety is bullying us into despair. It overcomes our logic and creates an alternative universe that is set opposite of our victory in Christ. Anxiety tells us “Don’t rest, there is more chaos to come”, but our Lord said “Take comfort; I have overcome the world” Join is this morning Sunday if you want to lay down all your Anxieties at the feet of Jesus. The same feet that walked on water, at the same feet that crushed the serpent’s head, at the same feet that walked to the cross, and the same feet that now rest on His Father’s footstool. Matthew 6:25-34

  • Focus

    10/06/2018

This sermon compares us to the Israel who rejected God for an earthly king. Earthly gain was their focus, but it came with a cost. Those of us today who are apart of the New Covenant of Christ are called to make the same choice between two masters. Matthew 6:19-24 gives us an opportunity to not repeat history.

  • Fasting

    03/06/2018

What is the purpose of fasting? Why didn't Jesus teach His disciples to fast but thought enough of the subject to thread it into his Sermon on the Mount? It's good for us to seek clarity on this particular matter so that all the glory remains with God. This sermon is cited from Matthew 6:16-18

  • Prayer: Part 4

    30/05/2018

    Lead me not into temptation.

  • PRAYER: Part 3

    21/05/2018

Bread is to the body as forgiveness is to the soul.

  • Prayer: Part 2

    13/05/2018

The Son of God gave us the framework as to which we should pray. Therefore, unpacking each word and phase to follow it is important when we communicate with our Father. There are 6 petitions within this prayer, and this sermon looks begins to unbox what is directed towards God.

  • Prayer: Part 1

    06/05/2018

Christ was sure to teach us how not to pray before He taught us His framework of prayer. This sermon moves us to prepare our hearts before we address "Our Father who is in heaven".

  • Give and Forget

    29/04/2018

Matthew 6:1-4 gives a clear description of how we are to practice our righteousness. Here, Jesus focuses on our giving as a way to expose our hearts as we worship Him.

  • Love Your Enemies

    22/04/2018

A perspective on Matthew 5:43-48 that could help you love your enemies in the heat of the moment.

  • It Is Finished

    01/04/2018

Jesus's last words on the cross were "It is finished". Well, what was finished should be our first question. Enjoy this Resurrection sermon.

  • Palm Sunday: Long Live The King!

    25/03/2018

  • Revenge

    19/03/2018

Even in our passive-aggressive culture, we still have to call it Revenge.

  • His Word. Our Word.

    12/03/2018

What Christ has to say about oaths and how to be obedient to His request.

  • Torn Apart

    07/03/2018

Society has redefined marriage, and by default they have redefined divorce as well. At some point, Christians need to understand how our marital status runs parallel with our relationship with God. This Sunday will provide insight in how God sees the covenants we make with each other and what we can do to honor Christ through it all.

  • Lacking Lustre

    26/02/2018

When preaching through the Sermon on the Mount, the Scriptures pick the topic. Therefore, if Christ didn't shy away from the controversial issue of lust, neither should we.

  • Making a Killing

    18/02/2018

The first topic in Jesus's Sermon on the Mount, anger. This sermon shows how anger and insult equal murder in God's eyes and how we are to handle those who we are at odds with.

  • Raise the Bar

    11/02/2018

In opening Matthew 5:17-20 Christ explains why He came into this world. But His sermon also answers how we are suppose to handle the Old Testament Law. Listening could keep you from being the least in God's kingdom.

  • Salt, Light, and Postmodernism

    04/02/2018

Jesus identifies Himself with Yahweh in the Sermon on the Mount when He compares His disciples to the persecuted prophets of old (Matt. 5:11–12; Jer. 37–38). The disciples who speak for Jesus are like the prophets who spoke for the Lord of the covenant; therefore, Christ implies His divine sovereignty. The prophets carried out their ministries in full view of the people of Israel, and so we are not surprised to see that their successors, the disciples of Jesus, not build the kingdom of God in secret. This is the point of this Sunday's sermon—that the church is to have a transformative effect on the surrounding society.

  • The Beatitudes: Blessed (pt.2)

    28/01/2018

The most powerful tool of evangelism we have is living out the Sermon on the Mount. How wonderful will it be tomorrow morning to open up the greatest sermon ever preached by the greatest Preacher the world has ever known, Jesus of Nazareth. Come and be "blessed".
