If you watch TV news you’ve undoubtedly heard that Eddie Long, the Bishop of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, in Lithonia, Georgia was made King on last Sunday.  At least that,s what the headlines read.  A question is was he actually made King?  If so, King of what?  If he was not made King then what was the purpose of the elaborate ceremony?  Many religious leaders have spoken out against the supposed coronation from a week ago.  But why are they opposed?  Did Bishop Long or anyone participating in the ceremony actually do anything wrong?  Is Long perhaps suffering persecution as a Christian?  These are just some of the questions that will be entertained today as we discuss Eddie Long being made King.
