If you haven’t heard, a Florida preacher was threatening to burn Qurans. Apparently, he, as well as many others, are very upset that Muslims are placing a new “Islamic Center” in proximity to the 9/11 site. He had threatened to burn Qurans unless the plans to build the “Islamic Center” near the New York 9/11 site are abandoned.

Atlanta is host to perhaps the largest black gay pride celebration in the world. This is an annual event slated for Labor Day weekend. In the Life Atlanta has been the official organizer of Atlanta Black Pride since its inception in 1996. As a non-profit community service organization, it is their mission to provide education, entertainment, and a positive voice for the African American LGBT communities in greater Atlanta.
