We at WFD would like to congratulate the Colorado Rapids for winning their first ever MLS Cup, as they defeated FC Dallas 2-1 AET at BMO Field in Toronto last night. In Europe, Chelsea continue to struggle as they were defeated for the second straight game in the Premier League (first time since 2006), allowing Manchester United, after their 2-0 win over Wigan, to move into a joint spot on points at the top of the league table. Tottenham roared back after trailing 2-0 to win 3-2 at the Emirates in a highly entertaining North London Derby. Barcelona continue to roll as they defeated Almeria by an 8-0 score and Real Madrid defeated Athletic Bilbao 5-1 to stay top of La Liga, setting us up for next Monday's El Clasico. Milan were able to extend their lead at the top of Serie A with their victory and Lazio's draw.
