Your Network Of Praise's Podcast

For this week's Network Update, Roger and Dave gave us an update on ongoing projects in Africa. Listen to hear more about RadioAfrica.fm, and the Africa By Radio Conference. ABR is a non profit organization that supports radio ministry in Africa. We will be attending with information about New Life Africa and Vie Nouvelle Afrique, and this is a huge opportunity for networking. Please be praying for our staff in Africa and for the Word of God to reach even more of His people there.

This week, we got to know Jon Reddick! The "I Believe it (The Life of Jesus)" singer joins Marci for a conversation about his life. Worship pastor at Church of the City in Franklin, TN, singer, and songwriter, Jon has a heart for the church, and the songs that pour out from congregations into the world. In this conversation, he talks about his musical influences, and shares his thoughts on worship. In addition to being a talented musician, Reddick is also a creative visual artist. Roger Lonnquist welcomes in Dr. Marvin Jones from the Montana Christian College to talk about their desire to do missions outreach. Andre is one of the students who is going on ministry outreach and taking along those YNOP Ambassador radios to some of the Massai speaking people of Africa!

With another encouraging update for us on the Day of Hope, Roger visited with Koki Ann, who has been working with the New Life Africa Translation Center. Listen in to hear how she has already translated over 400 programs into Swahili, and continues to translate more every month. 

It's the Day of Hope, and we had a very special visitor today, an artist we play all the time here on YNOP, and singer of this year's theme song, Blessing Offor. Marci visited with Blessing and got to know him a little better.  He has encouragement for our listeners, talks about how God is working in his life, and tells us the story behind our theme song, 'Brighter Days.'   

Dave and Marci had a great time doing a special, Day of Hope version of the Morning Show, with Justus Owaka, a Morning Announcer on New Life Africa Satellite Network. Joining us all the way from Nairobi, Kenya, Justus told us his story, gave testimonies from listeners in Africa, and also gave us an example of something he's known for: a Three Word Sermon. Listen in to hear how you can pray intentionally for our friends in Africa, and how your gifts towards New Life Africa are making a huge impact. 

Sharathon is going on all week, and we always begin with the Day of Hope. It's a time of encouragement and testimony and a chance to hear from ministry partners and friends. In this interview, Roger caught up with Ron Hutchcraft, President of On Eagles' Wings ministry. He gives us an update on the  discipleship being done, and also tells us about the brand NEW Leadership Center, located on the 75-acre campus of Ron Hutchcraft Ministries.  Listen in to hear the updates, and how to pray for the work being done in this new facility.

Our theme this year is  “Brighter Days”, and we have some great people coming in to encourage us and remind us of all that we have in Jesus Christ! Marci had a conversation with Austin French recently. While his story begins in a place of pain, and includes some really significant church hurt, Jesus does what only "Jesus Can" and there is redemption and joy in the story too. His latest album, Wake Up Sleeper is an autobiographical story of growing up and finding God, Austin hopes it’s also a legacy for his children, each song is a heart-filled encouragement that the best it yet to come.  Listen in and be encouraged. 

Marci caught up with Micah Tyler recently for a fun conversation! He was a youth pastor for over a decade before he got into the music industry, so he really has a heart for young people and the issues they face. He just released an album in March called "People Like Us" which includes hits like "I See Grace" and his latest hit, "Praise the Lord." Micah Tyler refers to the songs he writes as "battle-tested," and we are big fans.  Listen in to get to know one of our favorite Christian artists a little better, and tune into YNOP during your day to hear his awesome music!

On today's Network Update, Roger let us know that one week from today is the official launch of RadioAfrica.FM! Once this podcast network goes live, it will provide solid Bible teaching in 4 African languages, with dozens of additional languages coming in the future!  He also called for prayer as we near this year's Sharathon, which begins with the Day of Hope on September 11th. Dave has asked Marci to get to know our artists a little better, and today it was Danny Gokey's turn! Listen in to hear about his ministry outside of music, and his message to young people on how to combat what the world and social media says, with the Truth of God's word. Dave has tasked Marci with getting to know our artists better, and today it's Colton Dixon's turn!  He is busy at home as a dad of 3 year old twins, and is also juggling family life with some time on the road.  From his recently released EP, Canvas, the song Build A Boat was #1  on CCM charts for 7 consecutive weeks in 2022. Keep an ear out for the latest song to drop from that album, My Light, here on Your Network of Praise. Listen in on this conversation to get to know him a little bit more, and hear how God is working on him in this busy season.

Roger Lonnquist visited the Morning Show for another Network Update, and it all began with a discussion of an answer to prayer, as we are now able to send payroll payments to all of our African staff! This had been cut-off a few weeks ago for a couple of staff members, due to civil unrest in Cameroon.  Praising God for His provision in that area. Please be praying with us about future plans, as we plan to begin the personalized format in Salt Lake City, in the very near future, and the target date for the RadioAfrica.com launch is August 28th. The KXEI Anniversary celebration was a great time to honor those who have been a part of the YNOP ministry for many years and it's founding going back to 1979 when the first conversations started happening about a radio station on the Hi-Line. Roger will give us a recap on that. Also there are many things to keep lifting in prayer for YNOP. Those include radioafrica.fm launching late August, the new format in Salt Lake called Utah's Hope, and the difficulty on getting paychecks to our staff in Africa. 

Marci sat down with Benjamin William Hastings on the Morning Show! You may know him from songs like So Will I (100 Billion X) and his brand new one, That's the Thing About Praise. He's a relatively new artist, originally from Belfast, with a hint of an Irish accent. He's authentic, sweet and an extremely talented song writer. Listen in on this conversation to get to know him a little bit more.
