  • New Clothes / Burundi Missions Update: 7-2-17: Sallie Leifeste

    05/07/2017

Col. 3:9-159 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. 12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

  • Wed. Night - Lessons from the Life of David #2 - A King's Heart - Brian Leifeste

    02/06/2017

A King's HeartThere is a divine viewpoint and the human viewpoint. As Humans, We are mostly focused on the physical appearance.Don't misunderstand me, I am for being healthy. But God has another standard. When Samuel was looking for a man to succeed Saul as King of Israel, God said to Samuel… "Do not look at his appearance or his stature, because I have rejected him (Eliab). For the Lord does not see as man sees;[a] for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Sam. 16:7). Man places a high value on the externals God examines deep within that man for something more. Man judges one on the basis of one's appearance, but God examines the heart. In Biblical thought, the heart was the central organ that controlled all activities thus determining one's character of living. The heart housed the place where qualities worth having in our lives were first formed. The heart embodied the womb of character. There is a divine viewpoint and the human viewpoint. ‘we walk by faith not b
